The genus is popularly known as bird's nest, due to its specific shape of a bag or basket with white internal structures, very similar to bird eggs. Cyathus does not have a specific region of occurrence, but apparently, it's distributed across all continents. Studies on the taxonomy of this group, at first, show some confusion with the number of species, but according to the most recent literature, there are 59 species described. Cyathus still has a close relationship with biotechnological interest, being described in the participation and production of medicines, anti-inflammatory drugs, in the textile industry, in the pharmaceutical industry, among other areas of economic and technological interests. Therefore, with that reference of Cyathus, it is important to analyze the group among the most important databases in the present’s days. After all, data on genomics, proteomics and transcriptomics are fundamental for investigation and exploration of new studies. Thus, this work has the proposal to research through selected bioinformatics tools, so that we can understand the close values between Cyathus data and literature in the scientific community in the present’s days. The platforms selected were: NCBI; MicoCosmo; GlobalFunfi; FungiDB.
