Validação de conteúdo pelo público-alvo do Inventário de Evitação de Pensamentos sobre Comida. 2022. 50 f. However, what is usually observed is the opposite effect, with an increase in the frequency of intrusive thoughts that intensify the desire to consume that particular food. Faced with this problem, the instrument Food Thought Suppression Inventory (FTSI) was developed with the aim of evaluating this issue in individuals. In view of the potential contributions provided by the use of the FTSI in the practice of clinical nutrition, this study aims to carry out content validation by the target public of the version adapted to Brazilian Portuguese of this instrument, called Inventário de Evitação de Pensamentos sobre Comida (IEPC). This is a methodological and cross-sectional research, which performs the evaluation stages by the target audience and a pilot study of the cross-cultural adaptation process of the instrument and uses the Content Validity Coefficient (CVC) to analyze the degree of consistency of the evaluators, based on the criteria of clarity, adequacy and understanding. The results showed that the IEPC presents all acceptable items (CVC > 0.80), with the final CVC of each judged characteristic (clarity = 0.916; adequacy = 0.931; comprehension = 0.930) and the total CVC of the inventory (equivalent to 0.926) satisfactory. Therefore, the IEPC proved to be a valid instrument on point of view of the content for the Brazilian population, since all the items evaluated, individually and globally, presented adequate CVC, attesting that the inventory content reflects well the construct that proposes to measure.Attribution-NoDerivs 3.0 Brazilhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nd/3.0/br/Comportamento alimentarSupressão de pensamentosValidação de conteúdoAdaptação transculturalFood Thought Suppression InventoryEating behaviorSuppression of thoughtsContent validationCross-cultural adaptationValidação de conteúdo pelo público-alvo do Inventário de Evitação de Pensamentos sobre ComidaContent validation by the target public of Food Thought Suppression InventorybachelorThesisCNPQ::CIENCIAS DA SAUDE::NUTRICAO
