To evaluate whether these information systems are adequate and good, it is first necessary to know the information needs and behavior of their users. Previous works investigated information needs and behaviors of Nursing professionals, but few of them ware with professionals who work in Brazil and generally focus on technical-scientific knowledge of these professionals. The goal of this work was to investigate information needs and behaviors of Nursing professionals during skin wounds treatment. A descriptive quantitative research was carried out through an online questionnaire answered by 566 participants from almost all Brazilian states. Participants expressed the need to analyze specific information about wound and also about the patient health as a whole. The main information sources are patient she/herself, medical records on paper, other colleagues and software. The produced information during patient care is recorded in photos, paper, computer, smartphones and in audio recordings.
