Physical Education in schools is a rich component that can contribute to the integral development of students. However, it is clear that few studies have been produced on this topic. Thus, this study sought to understand how students' emotions are addressed in the context of Physical Education in schools. Through a systematic review, a search was conducted in the databases - SciELO, CAPES and Scopus - and 205 studies were found, of which 8 were selected for analysis. The results allowed us to identify that emotions are being explored from the perspective of emotional manifestations, being grouped into two perspectives: a) global; and b) specific content. The articles revealed that students express various emotions, including positive, negative and ambiguous, and understanding these manifestations is crucial for teachers to improve their teaching methodologies.
