Objective: To study the distribution of the main oral diseases that affect the members of the Colony of fishers of São João do Sabugi / RN. Methods: The research was carried out at a cross-sectional, epidemiological, descriptive and exploratory Z64 Marcelino Vieira de São João do Sabugi / RN fishery, with a sample of 47 individuals, calculated from a universe of 379 fishermen, taking into account the indicators Prevalence of dental caries in the Seridó region of the state of Rio Grande do Norte (SB-Brazil - 2010). The CPO-D and CPI indices were used to study caries and periodontal disease, respectively, in addition to the application of a socioeconomic questionnaire. Results: A CPO-D index was compared to national, regional and state data, according to SB - Brazil 2010. 65.95 index of periodontal disease with the need to use some type of prosthesis. In addition, it was found that 17.02% had evidence of actinic cheilitis. Conclusions: The research emphasizes that actions of educational and inclusive intervention should be planned so that this population has access from the basic brushing and oral hygiene care to specific treatments that each one needs.
