The objective is to analyze the application of science popularization resources and curricular integration of food and nutrition education in the social management of the PNAE, grounded in the implementation of its guidelines under the terms of Article 2 of Law No. 11,947/2009. The research highlights gaps in understanding the legal requirements among public managers, basic education teachers, and members of family farming, as well as a deficit in scientific literacy practices, which justifies the adoption of science popularization and social management mechanisms in schools. Collaboration with the Organization for Learning and Knowledge in Solidarity Initiatives (OASIS/UFRN) was essential. The research reveals that the PNAE has been limited to addressing hunger, without leveraging its educational potential. Continuous monitoring of the PNAE's implementation is recommended, focusing on teacher training and the provision of appropriate resources for the curricular integration of FNE. The action-research conducted, which included the co-production of educational materials, underscored the need for political-institutional commitment from managers and continuous training for educators. The thesis proposes the full implementation of the PNAE with an approach that integrates political-institutional and techno-economic dimensions. The PIAC method and a Matrix of Elements by Thematic Axis for the curricularization of FNE in the PNAE were developed, incorporating content such as local living conditions, food supply, social control, and the impacts of dietary consumption on health. The research suggests changes to the PNAE's public policy, including continuous teacher training, support for school infrastructure, and strengthening ties with family farming.
