In his will, he left part of his assets for the creation of the Pauferrense Philharmonic Society (SFP). Lacking similar equipment of social interest in the more than thirty cities that make up the region, this project seeks to mediate the interests of the population, the SFP Board and political politicians involved, under the guise of vernacular architecture. Therefore, the objective of this work is to present a development of the preliminary project of a Philharmonic House for a city of Pau dos Ferros, which value not only a music as a cultural expression, but also the set of techniques that make up an architecture of the semiarid Rio Grande do Norte, demystifying-and bringing new looks and ways of looking at clay as building material. The proposal values intrinsic and particular elements of the region, such as climate, territory and culture, as opposed to the mass production of buildings observed in contemporary times. It is worth noting that the stigmatization of materials such as clay, abundant in the region by the civil construction sector, is also a way for big businessmen to sell their own industrialized techniques, which are hardly adapted to the different bioclimes in Brazil. Thus, one starts from the analysis of requisitions of the necessities program, through bibliographical revision, study of references, interviews and experiments in loco.
