Over the years, several strategies have been developed that aim to contribute satisfactorily to the health of this population, highlighting the interventions carried out within the scope of the Unified Health System (SUS). Based on these statements, the context of Primary Care has become fundamental in the implementation of actions that transform the reality of people with disabilities. This is an action-research type of research with a qualitative approach and descriptive nature, produced from the active teaching methodology that took place through a project of Permanent Education in Health, carried out based on the Arch of Problematization of Charles Maguerez. Its main objective is to qualify nursing technicians and community health agents through a proposal for Permanent Education in Health on Health Care for Persons with Disabilities in a Basic Health Unit in the city of Caicó, Rio Grande do Norte. It also aimed to identify what competences nursing technicians and community health agents have on the local network of care for people with disabilities, in addition to presenting materials about the rights of this population to these professionals, such as the National Plan for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities - Living without Limits and understanding the potential and challenges of the Unit as a means to improve health care for users with disabilities. Thus, it was observed that the interventions developed in this study provided the participants with clarification on the topic of Health Care for Persons with Disabilities, reducing the theoretical-practical weaknesses experienced by these professionals in the work environment.
