Monografia (Graduação em Administração) - Centro de Ciências Sociais Aplicadas, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, Natal, 2022.https://repositorio.ufrn.br/handle/123456789/48799The objective of this monograph is to evaluate the effectiveness of two different notions of sustainability: that of the indigenous people represented by Kopenawa (2015) and Krenac (2019); and that of the white man (based on current practices and data from organizations). Furthermore, this monograph proposes a reflection on how the indigenous worldview can be a guiding element for a sustainable administration. In this sense, we will show why there is a difficulty for whites to assimilate indigenous ideas in relation to nature. This work is divided into three chapters that draw an overview of understanding of concepts and prejudices that strain the relationship between whites and Amerindian peoples and that prevent the former from understanding indigenous practices and values. Finally, it is shown in an argumentative and theoretically grounded way that the notion of sustainability that is put into practice in organizations fails to maintain the balance of nature's ecosystems, and is therefore not sustainable. Therefore, it is concluded that is the indigenous worldview that more appropriately understands the idea of sustainability.Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 3.0 Brazilhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/3.0/br/AdministraçãoSustentabilidadeIndígenasCosmovisãoAdministrationSustainabilityIndigenous peopleWorldviewA Cosmovisão indígena como elemento orientador da administração sustentávelThe Indigenous worldview as a guiding element for sustainable administrationbachelorThesis
