Implantação e manejo do Circuito Produtivo Agroecológico no DOL/CB/UFRN. 2022. 30 f. Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso (Graduação em Engenharia de Aquicultura) – Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, Natal, 2022.https://repositorio.ufrn.br/handle/123456789/49218Brazilian fish farming has shown significant growth in the last thirty years. More recently, aquaculture research has focused efforts on the development of production systems with greater advances in their sustainability dimensions. From this perspective, the adoption of management practices that consider the concepts of sustainability, such as the use of good management practices (GMP) is a way of moving in this direction. The planning of the production system called Circuito Produtivo Agroecológico (CIPA), implemented in the area of the Department of Oceanography and Limnology at UFRN, focused on the economic and environmental dimensions as a priority, when compared to other production systems also developed with this perspective of sustainability. Therefore, it conceived a layout with a lower investment cost in its implementation when compared, for example, with the traditional system of recirculation of cultivation water, known by the acronym RAS. In the environmental dimension, the interaction with other production processes, horticulture, fruit and ornamental plants, was designed, characterizing an ecological basis to the mentioned production system, which gives it the Agroecological concept. In effect, the effluents from the fish farming ponds, which do not need the necessary structures for their reuse, are managed for the fertigation of these plant production processes. In addition, fish farming is carried out with monthly relocation of fish from smaller to larger tanks, according to their age and weight; and in these tank changes, these are cleaned with the allocation of feed decantation and excrement for composting, which are used in the fertilization of vegetable production. These changes of fish between the ponds allow other advantages in the handling of the creation, namely: counting of the fish, allowing the control of thefts; elimination of a percentage of the fish stock that showed a lower growth rate. The conception of CIPA in an interactive context with other production processes constitutes a polyculture process, allowing the farmer to escape the problems arising from monoculture. In the implementation of the CIPA in the DOL area, a free-range chicken farm was also installed for the production of eggs and manure to contribute to the production of compost. Therefore, this work aimed to describe and analyze this production system called Agroecological Productive Circuit, installed in the area of the Department of Oceanography and Limnology of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte, taking into account aspects of management, economic viability and sustainability of the productive processes. The implementation was carried out aiming at the dimensioning of productive indicators, among which: productivity of animal and plant species; description of aspects of nutritional and phyto/zoosanitary management; evaluation of economic indicators, sustainability and quality of work and analysis of the possibility of linking this information to school activities in rural communities. In a complementary way, it was important to establish an aquaculture space in the physical space of the DOL that would allow practical classes, internships, Course Completion Works and support for research and extension projects.Circuito Produtivo AgroecológicoSustentabilidadePisciculturaHorticulturaFruticulturaImplantação e manejo do Circuito Produtivo Agroecológico no DOL/CB/UFRNbachelorThesis
