Its worldwide prevalence 1 in 10,000,000 people. Linked to a genetic inheritance factor that spread due to consanguine marriages, in a higher prevalence of BSCL in the interior of Rio Grande do Norte, in the Seridó mesoregion. The research intends to verify the knowledge of these professionals about BSCL after a study in 2015, in the mentioned Regional Hospital Mariano Coelho (HRMC). A questionnaire was applied with 25 nurses working in the HRMC. The present study showed that most of the nurses' staff are unaware of the causes of Berardinelli-Seip syndrome, despite their higher prevalence in the region, and have already received patients with BSCL in hospital care. Medical strategies are needed that may favor improvements in the health and quality of life of the population with BSCL. Faced with this, it has been essential for health professionals to develop qualified care.
