The research is configured as a case study, considering the definitions of Yin (2015). The results were divided into two parts. The first, addressing more general aspects, such as the number of women active, how many and which instruments they played or play, which subgenres they were or are linked to. The data for this first part were collected through literature on the scene and observation. The second, brings more specific results, collected from semi-structured interviews, which dealt with musical training and the history of rock in Natal, also focused on the history of the female public in the scene, were carried out with 17 women in the first half of 2023. The interviews were analyzed based on the discursive textual analysis (DTA) technique proposed by Moraes and Galiazzi (2016).
