OSUFPB em foco: estudo da percepção dos músicos em relação à interpretação do divertimento para cordas de Béla Bartók em quatro distribuições para o naipe de cordas. 2019. 99f. Dissertação (Mestrado em Música) - Escola de Música, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, Natal, 2019.https://repositorio.ufrn.br/jspui/handle/123456789/28442The following research aims to study the musical and sensorial perception of the musicians of the Symphony Orchestra of the Federal University of Paraíba (OSUFPB) through the musical interpretation of four previously chosen fragments of the Divertimento for String Orchestra Sz.113, BB.118 (1939) of the Hungarian composer Béla Bartók (1881-1945), using four distributions for the string section: American Distribution, Variant of the American Distribution, European Distribution and Variant of the European Distribution. The methodology used was the application of a questionnaire containing eight questions based on the following topics: Intonation; Equalization or Balance; Visual contact; Ensemble of music; Listening to colleagues interpretation; Comfort playing in a given distribution; Evaluation of the distribution for the piece and the Habit of playing in a given distribution. The perception of OSUFPB musicians were captured through the five-point Likert measurement scale; it is also pointed out that, in order to complement the choices of participants, it was requested that they include comments about their responses, in order to broaden the scope of the topics in relation to the distributions. Subsequently, the data was tabulated and statistically analyzed using the IBM SPSS Statistics 25 software (Statistical Package for Social Sciences) to obtain the analysis of Frequency and Percentage. In addition, the results obtained through the software was condensed by the sum of the Negative, Neutral and Positive values of the Likert Scale, and, finally, a Comparative Summary with Percentages was made with the interpretation of the author for each question of most relevant comments. The results indicate a greater preference for the American Distribution with a downward slope for the other distributions, concluding that the preferences are directly linked with the habit of playing in a certain distribution.
