In order to carry out this research, we have taken the IDORT magazine published from 1950 to 1956 as sources, operated through documentary analysis and the understanding of the press as a source. With regard to the Institution, we understand IDORT from the analyses of Justino Magalhães on Institution and Professional Education and Work-Education for Maria Ciavatta (2019) and Dermeval Saviani (2007). Thought and created at the beginning of the 1930s, the Institute had as its intention the organization of an educational system that would form the working class in a technical it perspective, based on Taylorist thought. Its main objective was to promote the progress and industrial development of Brazil. Its journal was created to circulate information pertinent to IDORT, which reflects the historical and political moment of the time, as well as the educational conceptions aligned to the current economic model.
