Given this, this research had the general objective of verifying, from the literature inserted in the BRAPCI, the works that emphasize the models of information behavior that deal with the users' need for information. The specific objectives are to identify in the literature, the main models of information behavior; indicate the most recurrent ones; and, finally, to verify in which environments the models are applied. This study uses as methodological procedure the bibliographic exploratory-descriptive research, which is analyzed in two stages: qualitative and quantitative, considering the productions found in the BRAPCI's database. A search was carried out in the database using the term "models of information behavior," delimiting the search to the period from 2009 to 2019. With this term, the investigation occurred on May 27, 2019, and 28 articles were found. As a result, considering the productions identified, the most used model was Wilson's information behavior, which has, as its knowledge area, the Information Science; it was more representative in the articles.
