In this perspective, this doctoral thesis investigated the creation of a critical poetry by Ana Cristina Cesar from “transcreations” (CAMPOS, 2015) of the “modern tradition” (PAZ, 2013) and the marginal poetry. For that, primarily, there was a confrontation of poems by Cacaso, Chacal and Ana Cristina Cesar with the works of Pereira (1981), Hollanda (2004; 2007; 2014) and Santiago (2000; 2002). Secondly, this study performed a comparative analysis of texts by Ana Cristina Cesar, João Cabral de Melo Neto and Manuel Bandeira, especially the books Poética e Crítica e tradução (CESAR, 2013; 1999a), Uma faca só lâmina (MELO NETO, 2020), Poesia crítica (MELO NETO, 1982) and Antologia poética (BANDEIRA, 2013). Finally, metalinguistic poems by Ana Cristina Cesar were selected, in which she explains her principles of poetic production and reviews the theory of literary genres. At the end of this work, it was verified that the poetry of Ana Cristina Cesar is historically positioned in a horizon of tensions between poetic and critical discourses, making the tradition of rupture more complex. Translation, citation and transcreation are resources widely used in this poetics that explores, from different perspectives, the possibilities of language and literature, which makes its study essential.Acesso AbertoCesar, Ana Cristina, 1952-1983Poesia contemporâneaLirismo e antilirismoCrítica literária"Poética quebrada pelo meio": a poesia crítica de Ana Cristina CesardoctoralThesisCNPQ::LINGUISTICA, LETRAS E ARTES::LINGUISTICA
