Then, the objective of this research was to conduct a literature review to identify how applications have been used in Biology teaching in the Brazilian context. Ten works (7 articles and 3 dissertations) obtained through search in the CAPES Periodicals Portal, BDTD and 3 journals were analyzed, based on defined criteria, to answer five research questions. In general, It was observed that different applications have been used to make classes more dynamic, interactive and attractive for students, promoting the appropriation of the biological concepts covered.
