It was originated to version one of the portuguese questionnaire (V1) that was retro translated into English and returned to the ICIQ group to be reviewed and performed an equivalence pre-test to develop the final version of the questionnaire (V2). V2 was submitted to the adaptation phase. The results obtained were that the mean age of the women evaluated was 50.4 years ± 12.9. 53.5% of the women were in the postmenopausal period, 64.2% had urinary incontinence-UI. Urinary stress urinary incontinence (SUI) (50%) to medium effort (42.8%) was the most frequent.
