Investment in training for the multidisciplinary team in the culture of reporting adverse events is essential for the application of new strategies for the performance of care in search of quality and the use of indicators for risk management whose main objective is to identify, monitor and minimize incidents and events that could cause harm to the patient. The following intervention project aims to implement strategies to improve the incident notification process in the Intensive Care Unit of a Maternity Hospital in the city of Natal. The fragility of adverse event notifications was identified by a survey carried out by students from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte. In view of the results presented, it was possible to develop strategies, using the PDSA as a quality management tool to assist this process so that the occurrence of Intensive Care Unit incidents can be reduced and the promotion of continued education, aiming to raise awareness among professionals about the importance of notifications.Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 3.0 Brazilhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/3.0/br/Evento adverso, unidade de terapia intensiva, notificações.Adverse event, intensive care unit, notifications.Estratégias para melhoria do processo de notificação de incidentes: projeto de intervençãoStrategies for improving the incident notification process: intervention projectbachelorThesisCNPQ::OUTROS::ADMINISTRACAO HOSPITALAR
