Regarding the theoretical part, we use as reference, mainly, books of authors of the critical studies of gender and sexuality and studies on the issue of violence; about to our empirical field, we have the city of Natal/RN as the research's locus where we conduct structured interviews with gays and lesbians. In order to reach the proposed objectives we go through the following steps: At first we try to contextualize the concept of homophobia considering its genesis and the resignifications that happened, at this point, we also propose the definition which we will work with. Second, we address the social production theme of gender and sexuality, since this question is the constitutional basis of the homophobia phenomenon; in the sequence we work the theme of violence in the general plan and also from the gender snip, presenting, including, its different expression modes and the ways in which the violences are expressed and experienced starting the genders. Finally, in third place, we present and analyze the interview results and we propose, from what was raised in the field, associated with our theoretical reference, the presentation of the violence's nuances and gradations which more affect gays and lesbians, moreover, we write explanatory analyzes referring to the causes which result in these particularities which singularize the violence types that most affect each of these two groups.Acesso AbertoGênerosHeteronormatividadeHomofobiaViolênciasmasterThesisCNPQ::OUTROS::CIENCIAS SOCIAIS
