Article A produção do conhecimento sobre educação profissional(2015) Cavalcanti, Vanessa Oliveira de Macêdo; Medeiros Neta, Olivia Morais deThe Professional Education (EP) in Brazil has become a professional field throughout the years and this configuration can be seen through the scientific productions of the researchers of this field in Journal Articles, dissertations, thesis, etc. This article aims to map the knowledge production about Professional Education has turned important on the CAPES Journal Portal through the scientific articles; to explain the Portal and the importance of the scientific communication through the scientific journal achievement that contribute to the science development; to report the first results obtained about the studies of the field configuration of the EP in Brazil through the mapping of the production about the EP, the identification of researchers and journals where the publications appear; to use the exploratory method for the productions gathering with the qualitative approach. In conclusion, this kind of production contributes for the comprehension of the configuration of a certain knowledge fieldArticle Educação profissional no brasil (1960-2010): uma história entre avanços e recuos(2015) Assis, Sandra Maria de; Medeiros Neta, Olivia Morais deThe objective of this text is to historicize the trajectory of Professional Education (PE) in Brazil between the decades of 1960 and 2010, considering the discussions that guided the conflicts around the laws and decrees that regulated it. For this, we carried out a bibliographical and documental research on PE in the 1960s, with the approval of the Law of Directives and Basis (LDB) No. 4,024/61, and the contested Law No. 5,692/71 and its ramifications in the context of the economic policies of the military governments. The analysis still refers to the disputes surrounding the construction of the Law of Directives and Basis No. 9,394/1996 and the Decree No. 2,208, on April 17, 1997, followed by the Ministerial Ordinance No. 646/97, which radicalized the separation between the propaedeutic high school and professional education; In the end we discussed the revocation of the Decree No. 2,208/97 and the consequent approval of the Decree No. 5,154/2004, which allowed the curricular integration between the high school and the technical education, creating the integrated high school. So we ask: we train students only to meet the needs of capital? Against this conception, we think the EMI as a coping mechanism of educational duality by overcoming class differences, and work as an educational principle integrating human dimensions. To this end, we map the production of vocation education in Portal Capes, considering the publications available on the Portal by the year 2014 and the term professional education, with the use of quotation marks. For understanding the configuration of the Vocational Education in knowledge of the field, we approach the scientific field of understanding of Bourdieu. From the analysis, we can consider that the field of vocation education in Brazil has been setting the thematic interrelations as education and work on reading the vocation education as a teaching mode and space of political disputes. Moreover, the field of vocation education in Brazil is gaining new contours with objects and themes from the historical transformations related public policies for the vocation education
