(Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, 2024-11-29) Santos, Benjamin Vanderlei dos; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-5085-4296; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1234091318043836; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8436231228138511; Pereira, Jesana Batista; Calou, Antônio Leonardo Figueiredo; Leite, Jáder Ferreira; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-6045-531X; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0115447283248209; Prado, Marco Aurélio
Guided by the general objective of discussing the possibilities of masculinities that permeate the experiences of trans men and transmasculine people in the Brazilian Northeast, the research presented here is an ethnocartography produced from the life story narratives of the researcher: a trans man, psychologist and from the Northeast, with other trans men and transmasculine people from the Brazilian Northeast. To this end, meetings were held in the states of Maranhão, Pernambuco and Piauí, where field diary records and semi-structured interviews were used as methodological tools, which were recorded and later transcribed. The fieldwork also includes ethnocartographic experiences carried out in Alagoas and Rio Grande do Norte, through the author's activism in the organized social movement of trans people. Based on decolonial, transfeminist and post-structuralist theoretical frameworks, I present: 1) a state of the art of studies on transmasculinities, resulting from a literature review; 2) gender relations and coloniality situated in the health system and their impacts on access to public policies by trans men and transmasculine people; and 3) a debate on how the constructions of masculinities of trans men and transmasculine people are permeated by signs of a northeastern imaginary that correlates with the meanings produced by hegemonic masculinity while deconstructing them, forming a complex network of expressions of masculinities. This complexity is presented as part of the mobility of power relations that are inscribed in the various ways of being/becoming man, and man is understood here as a relational construction of masculinities based on the different social markers that cross it and that, for this reason, situate transmasculinities in an inbetween place.

The scars left by slavery still persist in the reality of the black population in Brazil, especially black women who suffer from oppression and exploitation, which has economic, social and political implications in their lives. Marielle Franco was one of the black women who fought against these abuses and has always been a tireless defender of human rights, especially of women and black people, but her political activity was interrupted in March 2018 when Brazil received news of the murders of her and her driver, Anderson Gomes. Thus, this research is justified by the importance of highlighting the actions of black parliamentarians, even though they still have low representation in the institutional spaces of Brazilian politics. Thus, the general objective of this research is to analyze the actions of self-declared black parliamentarians elected in 2018 in proposals that address the theme of gender and race in the institutional spaces of Brazilian politics. The specific objectives are: To examine how the presence of black parliamentarians elected in Brazil favors the agendas proposed by the black movement and the women's movement; highlight the main agendas of the proposed bills, hearings and actions and their relationship with the current political moment; enable a reflection on whether simply being a black female parliamentarian necessarily means adopting an action to confront racism and misogyny. The assumptions of materialism and Marxist dialectics were used, as well as the readings of black feminist thinkers. Initially, the number of proposals presented by the parliamentarians in the Legislative Assembly and their thematic blocks were mapped. After that, the proposals that addressed themes related to gender and race were highlighted, in which the fight against domestic violence was highlighted. However, the fight against racism still appears in a small number of proposals. In addition, political gender violence affects the lives of some parliamentarians, which makes it necessary to constantly fight for these women to occupy these spaces

This study mapped socioeconomic aspects and skills related to reading, writing, and executive functions in students with mild intellectual disability enrolled in Elementary School I and II in public schools of a municipality in Curimataú, Paraíba. The sample consisted of 14 children and adolescents. This study is characterized as a descriptive and exploratory research with a qualitative-quantitative, cross-sectional, and non-parametric approach. The results were obtained from the Socioeconomic and Cultural Questionnaire, the Semi-Structured Interview with guardians, and the cognitive assessment of participants, aiming to compare the outcomes of the conducted investigations. Data were analyzed using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS), version 30.0.0.0 (172). The results revealed performance variations according to prenatal data, socioeconomic conditions, home experience, school environment, cognitive processes (intelligence, language, and executive functions), age, and school year. It was observed that none of the participants had received a clinical diagnosis, suggesting invisibility in cases of mild Intellectual Developmental Disorder (IDD). There was notable economic fragility and social vulnerability, with a per capita income of R$ 350.00 per month. In total, 64.3% of the investigated students had not yet become literate. Among the WISC-IV indices, the greatest cognitive fragility was found in the PRI (Perceptual Reasoning Index). For children with mild IDD, writing without spelling errors becomes a greater challenge compared to word reading. It was found that children with mild IDD are capable of learning and developing; however, this depends on appropriate support and assistance. These findings reinforce the importance of adapted and contextualized educational interventions for this population, with the potential inclusion of programs that stimulate reading, writing, and executive functions while considering the socioeconomic and cognitive particularities of students from underprivileged backgrounds.

This research project has as its domain of interest the challenges of teaching practice as a source of suffering and illness, with a view to responsibility involved in the socially transforming capacity of that craft. The teacher's work activity, like any other work activitycontributes to the rupture, construction, deconstruction and emancipation of the subject. It is an activity that has essential psychosocial significance and must be considered within the social context in which it is being developed. The challenge of ensuring the common training necessary for the exercise of citizenship is established for the public basic education system, based on the democratization of education. Characterized by crossings of the precarious situation of teaching work, this activity shares the historical legacy of devaluation of the profession, the distance between the prescriptions contained in the national education regulation frameworks and the work that can be done in the face of the available tools, the context of violence in which the periphery schools are inserted and the involvement with social problems that characterize and contribute to the worsening precariousness of public education. In this context, the present master's thesis project chooses as a focus of interest the professional activity of the teacher who works in elementary education in the municipal public network of Natal / RN. The approach of the work activity in question will have as a theoretical framework of reference the perspective of the Clinic of Activity, which proposes the cultural historical notion of the subject understood by Vygotsky, highlighting the importance of the professional gender, since the joint activity of the subjects with others it can be considered as the driving force of a common history, and of the biographical trajectories of each individual worker. The challenge of establishing relationships between the instances of prescribed, real and well-done work is assumed, emphasizing the individual's ability to act collectively, in the face of different situations in their work. The general objective is to analyze the teaching activity, investigating the existing prescriptions for this work, the level of achievement of these prescriptions in concrete work contexts and the ideal work well done by the municipal teachers of Natal / RN. From this purpose, we also seek to observe the extent to which the distance presented between prescribed work and real work impacts the conception of work well done considering the professional context proposed here for analysis. The group of participants to be researched will be the one that includes the multipurpose teacher from the initial years (1st to 5th) of elementary school, in the urban area of Natal-RN, as it is a long and crucial stage of basic education, in which children go through significant changes in the physical, cognitive, affective and social aspects, in addition to the burden of social relevance of the activity of this professional, committed to the process of literacy and basic mathematical and scientific education as a significant learning platform in the school trajectory. The proposed investigation will have a descriptive and clinical-qualitative nature based on three tools proposed for the research: a) descriptive document analysis, b) application of the instruction technique to the double and c) application of a questionnaire on work well done. This work will seek to contribute to the triggering of a critical rethink, with the potential for transformation of the subjectworker in terms of evaluation and possible expansion of their power to act, and realization of the ideal of a job well done in the professional category under analysis.

This research investigated the experiences of domestic workers who work as day laborers using cleaning apps. Guided by the theoretical framework of historical-cultural psychology and Marxist feminism of the Theory of Social Reproduction, this work was divided into two studies. The first, of a complementary nature, corresponds to the characterization of four platforms/companies operating in the Greater Natal/RN region. Data were collected from information available on their websites, apps, and social networks. The analysis aimed to explain the specificities of the cleaning platform companies and how they operate. Regarding the second study, semi-structured interviews were conducted with four day laborers with experience working using cleaning apps. For this purpose, the application of semi-structured interviews was chosen as the methodology and, for the analysis of the data, two analyses were carried out, intra and inter-case, resulting in the formation of axes and announcers. The integrated analysis of the two studies, that is, of the accounts of the experiences of the cleaning workers and the characterization of the cleaning platforms, made it possible to identify how the management models of the platform companies and how the relationships established in the household sphere of the user-contractor affect the experience of the cleaning workers in this context, resulting in a double subordination, platform company > cleaning workers < usercontractors. This result suggests the identification of a qualitatively different condition of subordination, experienced by the domestic cleaning workers, which is also not observed in other uberized categories.

This cartographic intervention-research starts with the question: what can the ethical and political experimentation of friendship and support networks for the production of care practices and strategies among young university students who use multiple drugs? In this investigation, we proposed: a) produce and accompany a group device made up of young university students who use drugs; b) map ways of consumption, management of multiple drug use and self-care linked to the collectivization of experiences; c) identify shared care strategies from a harm reduction, mapping the production and strengthening of support and sociability networks that are articulated with an ethical and political experimentation in friendship. Interrogating the conception of friendship between people who use drugs as a “risk factor” - endorsed by prohibitionism - we are interested in experiences that announce their ethical, aesthetic and political powers that reveal the production of care, knowledge, life and living in its multiple forms of existence and expressivity. Along this path, we use group devices and cartographic interviews and, as a means of analysis, the cartographic diary (individual and collective), narratives written from the diaries and collective meetings. We present the analyzes in four hyphae: I) the drug device and the marks of coloniality in us and among us; II) the drug device at the university and clues for a decolonization of knowledge based on friendships; III) for an ethics and politics of friendship in the cultivation of non-fascist relationships and ways of life and IV) producing lives, building worlds. Finally, we conclude that friendly relationships produce webs of life, knowledge and care. Besides, these relationships appear threatening to conservative regimes by producing fields of collective experimentation of criticality around hegemony, the established and new creative perceptions of worlds.

The present thesis addresses the defense of minority memory and history within the field of mental health in Rio Grande do Norte through the narration, testimonies, and reports of users of the health network who are part of an antimanicomial struggle collective in Natal. Although the history of the Brazilian Psychiatric Reform successfully narrates the various experiences, highlighting the particularities and characteristics of this movement, we note the infrequent or sometimes absent reports from mental health network users, many of whom are witnesses and historical actors in the psychiatric reform process. Supported by Walter Benjamin's theses on history, experience, and narration, as well as contributions from the thoughts of Deleuze, Guattari, institutional analysis, and decolonial studies, the goal was to map these users' memories through interviews, following the antimanicomial collective's actions, and the production of letters as an aesthetic element to narrate their experiences, in order to think about another history of mental health in Rio Grande do Norte, an invisible and unheard history. The development of the research followed a contextualization of the historical moment in which it is inserted, followed by the methodological bases supporting an immersive cartographic research of the users' memories. Through a bibliographic review on memory, its collectivization, and transmission, we examine classical European authors, approaching decolonial authors. This was done to reflect on the production of a minority memory, taken here in analogy to the idea of minority as present in the concept of minor literature by Deleuze and Guattari, as a subversion of a minority within a major language or the revolutionary condition of all literature, situated within the established universal literature, through collective enunciations, the deterritorialization of language, and political dimension. Through the production of letters made from the interview reports we sought to articulate the concepts brought forth to tension the relationship between knowledge and experience. Furthermore, a collective construction of ways to publicize these mapped memories/stories, creating, together with the other research participants, spaces where these stories can continue to be shared.

The expansion of higher education and changes in the world of work have created a scenario in which a degree does not guarantee employability. This dissertation explored the subjective implications of this reality for the way young graduates perceive and experience work. The aim was to investigate the processes of signification in the work trajectories of young graduates working outside their fields of study or unemployed, using the Trajectory Equifinality Model. The senses and meanings of the young people investigated using this tool were articulated based on memories, affections/disaffection, and dilemmas/tensions related to not working in their field. A two-stage study was carried out. In the first, of a quantitative and complementary nature, a questionnaire was used to describe the work situations of graduates from a public university. The second, qualitative, consisted of ten in-depth interviews. Intra- and inter-case analysis was carried out on the material produced. A total of 590 graduates responded to the questionnaire, showing that almost half (48%) work outside their field and/or in jobs that do not require higher education. The main findings of the second stage indicated that the young people used the meanings of job, career, and vocation to delineate their subjective experiences with work, which was seen as a career or vocation when related to their fields: if it was within their fields, work was associated with personal and professional fulfillment, a dream come true and the opportunity to help others. Outside their field, work was secondary and related only to subsistence. "Gaining" a field of study through a diploma transformed the relationship that the young participants established with work, what they expected from it, and what they wanted to achieve through it. In addition, the meanings “inherited” from the culture proved insufficient to structure the processes of signification, leading the young people to resort to hybridity or “stylizations”.

This research aimed to analyze the characteristics of the work ideologies present in the daily lives of landless workers in the Fidel Castro and Sabaia Communes, located in CearáMirim/RN. Guided by historical and dialectical materialism and historical-cultural psychology, the study in question sought to go beyond a description of work in the Landless Workers' Movement (MST), by identifying the discourses that guide the practices of the participants, inserted in a society permeated by conflicts and contradictions around work. In the current Brazilian scenario, the MST has become the main opponent of agribusiness because it mobilizes the class struggle, disputing food production and labor relations, through agroecology and cooperation. In this context, through participant observation and semistructured interviews, we spoke with 10 landless workers. With the meanings expressed in these moments, we learned the ideologies responsible for directing the consciousness and action of the participants in relation to the capital-labor conflict in the scenario of the struggle for land. Three ideologies were identified: a) ideology of wage labor; b) ideology of selfemployment and c) ideology of work in the MST. Although the first two ideologies are manifested in the daily lives of participants to preserve the abstract nature of work, we also observe a constant movement of criticism towards them, sustained by the comparison with the work developed in the MST. The emphasis on the affections that permeate the relationship with the land, combined with the valorization of the possibility of producing and accessing healthy food as a result of one's own work, directly contrasts with the conception of work as a simple means of obtaining income. Thus, we believe that the ideology of work in the MST promotes new meanings for both work and life, pointing out paths for the construction of an alternative that challenges the impositions of capital.

This study analyzed the mental health production conditions of rural quilombola women in the community of Grilo, in the state of Paraíba - where land regularization is still underway - from the perspective of intersectionality and the social determination of mental health. The relationship between mental health and society is addressed in this study, emphasizing the importance of a collective and contextualized approach. The research, qualitative in nature, followed the principles of Popular Education, problematization as a way of developing a critical awareness of the reality under analysis, and used intersectionality in a transversal way. Participatory research was adopted as the methodological approach and sought an in-depth understanding of the experiences of quilombola women, including observing participation, mediating group activities and individual interviews. The researcher's perceptions were recorded in field diaries, since his interaction with the group was fundamental for producing information throughout the process of participant-observation. The focus on dialogicity suggested that changes in thinking can be accompanied by transformative actions and that new experiences enable a change in consciousness through a process of action-reflection-action. We believe that the Culture Circle was a powerful tool for research and care because, based on the problematizations, it made it possible to articulate the unique dimensions of how the intersections of systems of oppression are present in their bodies-territories and how they are recognized in a collectivized reflection, as well as making it possible to build and strengthen collective practices of care and resistance to the problems experienced in daily life, delving into the aspects that shape their relationships with local knowledge, the territory and the solidarity networks of social support and care among women.
