In recent decades, public administration has been marked by the riset of managerialism in a neoliberal economic context characterized by precarious employment. Public universities have adopted management models guided by discourses of performance, excellence, and productivity. Given this scenario, the objective of this study is to conduct an analysis of work, from the perspective of a team involved in the strategic planning and management of a public higher education institution. To this end, the theoretical and methodological framework of the Activity Clinic is used to define, analyze, and problematize the elements that characterize this work, with an emphasis on both contributory aspects and obstacles to its realization. The specific objectives are: to promote transformations in work activities in the context in question, identifying the elements of professional praxis that favor and/or hinder self-recognition and the precarization of work and the worker, and the relationship between it and the quality of labor performance; to analyze the dialectical relationship between the activities and the genres of the occupations that reference the team's work, portraying their impact on the collective; to contribute conceptually to the Activity Clinic based on the context in question; and contribute to the intensification of the discussions regarding strategic public university management, based on the perspective of the Clinic adopted, in terms of the analysis of the processes of carrying out work activities. The method included individual semi-structured interviews and a group debate on their responses, as well as photo workshop and instruction to the double, conducted with employees of a public university. The analysis of all the material obtained was based on analytical tools provided by the Activity Clinic, with the additional support from Thematic Analysis. The main findings, which impacted the quality of work, the worker, and the institution itself, were: a modification in a specific activity and the changes observed in other employees' activities throughout the clinical experience; the recommendation, made by the subjects, that work analyses be carried out in unit contexts and in the university's strategic management , in the latter through periodic review of the institutional strategy, revising documents such as plans, policies, and regulations; the assessment of the suitability of the hybrid (in-person and remote) work modality for the team and its activities, including as a tool for maintaining the collective formed; the intertwining of forms of precarity/precarization and (self-)recognition for the health of work and the worker; and the confirmation of the existence of the professional intergender, as a complementary concept to the gender concept of the Activity Clinic.

In 2015, the relationship between the Zika virus epidemic and the increase in cases of microcephaly in Brazil, particularly in the Northeast region, was confirmed. This condition, known as Congenital Zika Syndrome (CZS), severely affects children's neurological development, resulting in microcephaly and other complications. Furthermore, families in situations of socioeconomic vulnerability face social and economic challenges, while children experience neurodevelopmental delays. The present study aimed to understand the impact of CZS on child development and its consequences in school and family contexts. To this end, the general objective was to assess the adaptive skills of children with CZS in municipal schools in the Metropolitan Region of Recife, a city considered the epicenter of the epidemic. The specific objectives sought to describe the sociodemographic characteristics of the affected families and children; identify the educational context through the reports of education professionals in municipal schools; and evaluate the children's adaptive skills. The thesis was organized into three interdependent studies: The first study consists of a systematic review of the neurodevelopmental assessment process of children with CZS, following PRISMA guidelines to ensure transparency and methodological rigor, using international databases and descriptors in English. The second study, of an empirical nature, assessed the adaptive skills of 25 children with CZS enrolled in schools in the Metropolitan Region of Recife, using the Vineland-3 Scale. Interviews with parents and teachers were also conducted to analyze the socioeconomic impact and the challenges faced in the school environment. Based on the data, intersectoral guidelines were developed. Data analysis was conducted using cluster analysis and the Chi-square test, allowing for the identification of different adaptive skills among the children. The research was approved by the ethics committee, and its results have the potential to contribute to the development of public policies and educational and health interventions aimed at children affected by CZS.

Racism is a social phenomenon of great impact, characterized by the Federal Council of Psychology – CFP (2017) as a broad, complex, systemic, and violent ideology that permeates cultural, political, economic, ethical, and subjective aspects of people’s lives. This research focuses on structural racism, exploring the role of psychologists in institutions within the socioeducational system. Although we can identify a growing contribution of Psychology to the issue of racial relations, such contributions are still scarcely disseminated in professional practice, making this study an important update in this field of knowledge and practice. The general objective was to analyze the role of psychologists in addressing racism within the openenvironment socio-educational system in Natal/RN. The specific objectives include (1) identifying theoretical and technical frameworks, (2) analyzing perspectives on structural racism, and (3) understanding contributions to both the reproduction and confrontation of racism. A qualitative approach was adopted, based on action-research methodology, with Historical and Dialectical Materialism as its theoretical foundation. The study was conducted at a Specialized Reference Center for Social Assistance – CREAS, in the city of Natal/RN. Data collection involved participant observation, field journals, analysis of informational and multidisciplinary reports, as well as Freirean culture circles with the four psychologists who make up the Socio-Educational Measures (MSE) teams. Data analysis led to the identification of two main nuclei of meaning: (1) Racism, socioeconomic vulnerability, and absence of the State, and (2) Racism, organized crime, and the context of violence. These nuclei were formed based on indicators and pre-indicators collected during the culture circles. The results reveal the complexity of the challenges faced by psychologists in the Brazilian socio-educational system. The research participants acknowledge the presence of structural racism in their daily work, emphasizing the need for socially engaged interventions to combat it and to promote more effective actions within the context of socio-educational measures. These findings highlight the importance of continuous and comprehensive training to improve knowledge and practice in this field.

Introduction: Satisfaction with care received is a concept that has been studied in patients undergoing palliative care. Objective: To perform a cross-cultural adaptation of the short version of the Canadian Health Care Evaluation Project (CANHELP) instrument for patients undergoing palliative care, from English to Brazilian Portuguese. Method: This was a quantitative, cross-sectional, and analytical methodological study. Conceptual, item, semantic, operational, and measurement equivalences were performed between the original and adapted instruments. In addition, the psychometric properties of the instrument were verified in the new contextual reality. Results: A total of 155 adult cancer patients were included, mostly women (67.74%), up to 60 years old (56.77%), at the “Onofre Lopes” University Hospital and the “Liga Contra o Câncer” institutions. Information was collected through a sociodemographic questionnaire, the CANHELP and the quality of life instrument –MQOL-Br. Descriptive and comparative analyses were performed for all variables, with a significance level of 5%. To verify the construct validity, exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis were performed, presenting a 4-factor correlation matrix. Regarding the reliability of the overall score of the inventory, it presented a Cronbach Alfa index of 0.93. The criterion and convergent validities were also verified through Pearson correlations and MANOVA, respectively. The analysis process with the verification of conceptual, item and semantic equivalences produced a summary version of the CANHELP. Regarding operational and measurement equivalences, a final synthesis version and a version that was validated for the Brazilian context were prepared. Conclusions: The questionnaire presented satisfactory values of internal consistency, criterion and construct validity, responding to the objective of the study. Thus, it is configured as an analysis instrument for aspects that refer to the satisfaction of cancer patients in the reality of Brazil.

The general objective of this thesis was to develop a developmental intervention program aimed at children with difficulties in acquiring reading and writing, based on the ontoepistemological framework of Historical-Cultural Neuropsychology. The research was structured in three stages, each with specific objectives that contributed to the development of the study. In Stage 1, the processes of reading and writing were investigated from three levels of analysis: linguistic, psychological, and neuropsychological. Stage 2 involved the study of Soviet teaching methodologies, both in the context of educational training and rehabilitative education, within the framework of Historical-Cultural Neuropsychology and Developmental Learning Theory. Finally, Stage 3 focused on the development of “Janelas para Leitura”: the developmental intervention program for reading and writing, emphasizing the definition of its structure and content. The program integrates neuropsychological, linguistic, and educational aspects, aiming to enhance the appropriation of written language through a phonological, reflective, and conscious method. Organized in a progressive manner, the program follows a methodological sequence that respects the increasing grafo-phonemic complexity of Portuguese. Moreover, it offers adaptations for different clinical profiles, considering the specific difficulties presented by the children. Thus, Janelas para Leitura not only contributes to overcoming difficulties in acquiring reading and writing, but also seeks to promote a formative process that favors integrated linguistic and psychological development.

The psychoanalytical training, since the early history of the psychoanalytic movement, has been crossed by political issues are often reproduced domination and power through the dictates of their institutions. Intersectionality, as an important research and political action tool that promotes dialogues between different fields, emerges in this work to support issues that emerged in the researcher's formative clinical paths, by making visible intersections between axes of subordination of race, gender/sexuality and class that are silenced in the psychoanalytic field and in the social fabric. Considering this, that research aimed to listen how violence based on gender/sexuality, race and class, in their intersectionalities, appear in the unique training paths of analysts in Natal-RN. More specifically, it aimed to analyze how these types of violence in their intersectionalities are heard and managed by analysts in their clinical practices, theoretical studies, supervision and personal analysis, as well as witnessing such violence in meetings with research participants. The research method was guided by theoretical-methodological operators of freudian and ferenczian psychoanalysis, such as transference, mutual analysis, trauma, denial and testimony, in dialogue with the critical perspective of intersectionality. It involved individual listening sessions carried out at two different times with four psychoanalysts who experience or have experienced their clinical practice, their personal analysis, clinical supervision and theoretical studies in Natal-RN, in addition to continuous work of attention and recording of the researcher's affects and memories in a field diary, here called a diary of fragments. The analysis of the experience traversed the paths of research from the emergence of the research questions to the production of a destination for them through the writing of narratives of the unique formative paths, shared with the participants. The process of producing narratives showed that, although critical reflection on intersectional violence is incipient or absent in the training institutions in Natal-RN, the analysts experienced intersectional readings, racialization processes, racial literacy, and the elasticity of the analytical technique in creative and transformative clinic experiences that arise from working with people marked by racism, sexism, poverty, and social segregation, in their intersectionalities. The narrative's constructions gave rise to mutual analysis and testimony at the intersectional crossroads of the research scenes, making the colonial violence that historically silences and erases the stories of black women visible. This experience called for the racialization of transference towards the decolonization of psychoanalysis, as an ethical-political and theoretical-methodological gesture that affirms the inseparability between clinical and political practice in psychoanalysis.

Dreams are legitimate psychic acts that play an important role in different cultures and social formations. Their creation and collective sharing act as an excellent social seismograph that bears witness not only to the dreamer, but to their entire political and cultural environment. Despite this, dreams are not given their due status in the post-industrial city, being relegated to a place of oblivion and contempt. The emptiness of experience, characteristic of modernity, affects the field of dreams. In view of this, the aim of this research is to investigate the powers of the collective sharing of dreams in the production of health, the creation of life and practices of resistance to the capitalist order. To this end, the methodological device of the Tent of Dreams was developed, which found fertile ground for its flourishing at the Center for Coexistence and Culture (CECCO) in Natal/RN. As a result, a path was traversed through the scenes of the research field, along with their proper presentation, images, dream narratives and discussions based on the epistemological territory of reference.

Lucien Sève is a French Marxist philosopher who stood out, above all, for his studies on the relationship between personality theory and Marxism. Despite the importance of his work, Sève is still a little-studied author in Brazil. This paper aimed to study his best-known work, Marxism and the Theory of Personality, published in 1969. Our aim was to analyze the relevance of his ideas and categories in our day and the possible contributions that his thinking could have for thinking about the relationship between psychology and Marxism in Brazil. The main results found indicate that, despite the limitations of his work, Sève's theory of personality, by articulating social theory and theory of the individual, provides important contributions for thinking about a Marxist psychology in Brazil that is deeply linked to the tradition of studies of national reality. In this way, it paves the way for the development of studies on the formation of individuals in the conditions of Brazilian reality, that is, in the conditions of the periphery of capitalism. From this perspective, we seek to establish some points of contact between the study of the individual, based on Sève, and the study of types in literary criticism, based on G. Lukács and R. Schwarz. In short, Sève's ideas open the way for a study of society that allows us to understand the individual and, in turn, a study of the individual that allows us to understand certain aspects of our society.
