In Primary Health Care (PHC), preventive actions can protect workers exposed to occupational risks. Care such as the use of personal protective equipment and compliance with public policies, such as the National Policy for Workers' Health (PNSTT), reinforce safety and quality of life in the workplace, with the SUS as the protagonist in this guarantee. Objectives: To analyze worker health in the context of Primary Health Care through documentary research. Methodology: This is a documentary research with a qualitative approach where documents were analyzed on the RENAST Online Platform that permeate the PNSTT to strengthen the Workers' Health Care Network through Primary Care actions and services and social control. This study was possible because, as it is a documentary analysis, the necessary protocols were found in an accessible way on the RENAST Online Platform, through specific legislation and also related to Workers' Health. Results: They were divided into three chapters entitled: How is RENAST structured in Brazil; Epidemiological Surveillance in Occupational Health in Primary Health Care; and Analysis of RENAST Online protocols. Among the strategies for implementing the PNSTT, the role of the APS in carrying out assessment, control, and surveillance of occupational risks in companies and establishments stands out, observing the productive activities present in the territory, encouraging participation in the monitoring of epidemiological, sanitary, and environmental health surveillance actions, in addition to specific VISAT actions, analysis of the productive profile and health situation of workers, among other strategies for occupational health safety. Final considerations: In view of the above, the importance of working on this topic is realized in each reference studied and in the search to understand how health professionals deal with occupational accidents in their work routine and how the notification of injuries to Workers' Health occurs, in addition to knowledge about the Intersectoral Commission for Workers'.Master Thesis Processo de trabalho da enfermeira na atenção primária à saúde no Rio Grande do Norte - Brasil(Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, 2024-10-02) Lira, Jayara Mikarla de; Almeida Júnior, José Jailson de; Rosa, Marcelo Prado Amaral; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-3294-8141; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0707052794691427; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8768677759534396; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0952086942250608; Alvarenga, José da Paz Oliveira; Caricio, Marcia Rique; Telles, Mauricio Wiering PintoIntroduction: The consolidation of Primary Health Care (PHC) determines the commitment of the Unified Health System (SUS) as a public policy for universal health. Among the professionals that comprise it, nurses are the largest workforce in quantitative terms in health care. The work of nurses in PHC has been established as an instrument for changes in health care practices in the SUS, as it responds to the proposal of the new care model that is centered on comprehensive care, contributing to the strengthening of public health. Objective: Describe the work process of nurses working in Primary Health Care, of five municipalities, in Rio Grande do Norte, Northeast, Brazil. Methodology: This is a qualitative study. It is characterized as an extract from the multicenter research of national scope entitled Nursing Practices in the Context of Primary Health Care (PHC): National Study of Mixed Methods. The data collection instrument was the interview. The participants were 45 nurses. The qualitative results were obtained in five municipalities in Rio Grande do Norte. The data analysis method used was Content Analysis, with the support of the IRaMuTeQ software. Results and discussion: Three final categories emerged: “Nurses’ work process in PHC”; “Performance of PHC nurses during the COVID-19 pandemic” and “Autonomy and recognition for nurses in PHC”. Regarding the work process, a concentration in programmatic groups, group work and spontaneous demand was observed. Also, in this scenario, the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the routine of the Basic Health Unit, revealing obstacles such as lack of infrastructure, supplies and overload. The survey of aspects about autonomy and professional recognition highlights prenatal consultations and work with groups as areas of greater autonomy, but there is still a lack of legal support that allows for more independent action. When relating these two variables it is clear that as Since autonomy is low, there is little resolution in the development of actions, contributing to the population's understanding of nurses as medical “assistants”. Final considerations: There is little use of the work potential of nurses in PHC, with the need for comprehensive legal support to act comprehensively in caring for people, without fragmentation.Master Thesis Planejamento em saúde em municípios brasileiros: situação cadastral e a convergência com o plano ações estratégicas (2021-2030)(Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, 2024-11-29) Silva, Isabella Grazyele Severo; Medeiros, Anna Cecilia Queiroz de; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-7664-4959; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6897910777769874; https://orcid.org/0009-0000-2342-148X; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3477511402699550; Araújo, Marcos Vinícius Ribeiro de; Bay Júnior, Osvaldo de GoesHealth planning is crucial for the organization and management of services, ensuring continuous improvement in public healthcare delivery. In Brazil, the Unified Health System (SUS) requires specific instruments, such as the Municipal Health Plan (PMS) and management reports, to monitor and plan municipal actions. This study employed both quantitative and qualitative approaches. It investigated the status of health planning instruments in Brazilian municipalities and analyzed the alignment of PMS in Brazilian capitals with the goals of the National Action Plan for the Prevention and Control of Chronic Non-Communicable Diseases (DANT Plan) 2021-2030. The quantitative analysis, based on data from 5,563 municipalities collected by the Strategic Management Support Room (SAGE), identified two clusters: Cluster 1, which included 60.6% of municipalities, demonstrated better performance regarding the status of planning instruments; and Cluster 2, which encompassed 39.4% of municipalities, showed lower performance in this regard. Both clusters revealed that monitoring-related documents had approval rates lower than those for more propositional documents. Specifically, 65.1% of municipalities in Cluster 2 did not approve any of the Detailed Reports for the Previous Quarter, as required for the period. Municipal typology and urbanization level were not associated with any of the identified clusters; however, geographical macroregions were. The qualitative analysis examined the PMS of 24 Brazilian capitals for the 2022-2025 period. This assessment was conducted in light of the "DANT goals" selected from the DANT Plan. Among the nine goals investigated, three were not addressed (either as a goal or objective), highlighting significant gaps in the alignment between planning and practice. The most addressed DANT goal in the PMS was the reduction of premature mortality, suggesting greater alignment with national priorities. However, the absence of clear goals related to improving dietary habits limits municipalities' ability to effectively address key risk factors for chronic non-communicable diseases (CCNTs), such as poor diet. Additionally, the apparent disconnect between the situational diagnosis in the PMS and the proposed goals/targets reveals a gap that may hinder the translation of the situational diagnosis into concrete actions, undermining the implementation of strategies aligned with the DANT Plan and reducing their effectiveness in mitigating the burden of CCNTs. These deficiencies in municipal health planning compromise the ability to address risk factors and health inequities in an integrated manner, which are essential for tackling CCNTs. More broadly, this situation is exacerbated by political-party influences, governance challenges, regional disparities, and socio-economic inequalities, which often misguided priorities and resource allocation, deviating from the actual health needs of the population. Therefore, initiatives to strengthen technical capacity, promote greater management stability, and enhance social control are critical to ensure a more effective and sustainable approach to public health.Master Thesis As mudanças políticas na Atenção Primária à Saúde brasileira e suas implicações para a atenção psicossocial em um município paraibano(Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, 2024-11-27) Vieira, Dandara Virgínia Machado; Telles, Mauricio Wiering Pinto; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-5568-6877; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3146268167204989; https://orcid.org/0000-0003-4458-0302; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2470147966672243; Nagashima, Alynne Mendonça Saraiva; Araújo, Marcos Vinícius Ribeiro dePrimary Health Care (PHC) is characterized as the main entry point to Brazil’s Unified Health System (SUS), offering universal, comprehensive, and free access to health services. Psychosocial Care (AP, in Portuguese) in this context holds a strategic position due to its potential to provide longitudinal care that takes into account the individual's particularities and the territory in which they are located. In a country with continental dimensions and social, economic, and cultural disparities, it is important to understand how public health policies are implemented in small municipalities, taking into account their unique characteristics and needs. This study aims to identify the impacts of political changes in Primary Health Care (PHC) in the municipality of Cuité / PB and their repercussions on Psychosocial Care (AP) from 2012 to 2022. It was a qualitative and exploratory research, of the case study type, with data collection conducted through semi-structured interviews and document analysis. The participants in the study were Nurses and Community Health Agents (ACS, in Portuguese) linked to the Family Health Strategy (ESF, in Portuguese) in the municipality of Cuité / PB. Municipal Health Plans (PMS, in Portuguese) and Annual Management Reports (RAG, in Portuguese) developed between 2012 and 2022 were also analyzed. The data produced were analyzed using the Content Analysis technique proposed by Minayo. All stages of the research were conducted in accordance with the ethical principles and information security guidelines established in Resolution 466/2012 of the National Health Council (CNS). This study resulted in the three articles that make up this dissertation. It was concluded that the Mental Health (MH) care provided by PHC is strongly impacted by changes in public policies and needs to be reoriented to provide assistance that is more aligned with the needs of the territory. However, in the studied context, barriers exist from the planning stage in the management tools, as the goals set for AP are largely focused on medium and high complexity services. This results in isolated and incipiente practices in PHC, with weaknesses observed in the planning and execution of MH collective actions, in user adherence, in the performance of professionals working in the ESF, and in the coordination of care. The findings allow for an analysis of the potential of the territory, daily practices, and health workers, supporting the commitment of management and professionals in transforming the reality through the handling of local complexities.Master Thesis Percepção dos servidores com tempo para aposentadoria de uma universidade pública sobre o envelhecimento e trabalho: um estudo qualitativo(Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, 2024-08-30) Barbosa, Maria Paula Ramalho; Guedes, Dimitri Taurino; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-1818-7665; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7575524707167845; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6403594505667448; Valença, Cecilia Nogueira; https://orcid.org/0000-0003-3998-3983; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2788316719185705; Lucena, Eleazar Marinho de Freitas; Neves, Robson da FonsecaThe aging process is physiological, universal, non-uniform, dynamic and continuous, which each person will experience, albeit at an individual pace. The Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE) found that almost the country currently has 7 million workers above 60 years old, and the workforce aimed at this population tends to increase even further. Through the dichotomy of feelings and conceptions that involve the meaning of work and retirement of elderly people described in the scientific literature, the need to carry out an investigation that proposes to analyze the subjectivity surrounding the theme emerges. Aiming to analyze the perception of workers at a public university with time to be retired about the decision to remain working; To characterize the socioeconomic, demographic and labor profile of workers; To evaluate the factors related to the aging process and work experienced by employees. Qualitative research was carried out, with data collection through in-depth interviews and data analysis with the aid of the IRAMUTEQ® software, version 0.7 alpha 2, using word cloud analyses. In addition, the Content Analysis method will be used, in the thematic modality. This research included a sample consisting of 12 participants, of which 7 were female and 5 were male. In the analysis of words, the following were emphasized: Retire(18), Process (17); Life (12); Continue (12); Universiry (11); Age (11); Financial (9); Permanent (9) ; Feel (9); Aging (9); Activity (8); Like (8); Live (8); Think (8); Active (8); Health (7); Motivate (7); Physical (6), Income (6); Need (6); Lose (7). In the similarity analysis, four communities of words were identified: “postponed retirement”; “the time to retire”; “financial concerns”, and “active aging”. In the descending hierarchical classification, four classes of words were identified: Class 1 - Challenges of retirement: visions and concerns; Class 2 - Reinventing yourself: a new lifestyle; Class 3 - Postponed retirement: a perspective of balance and purpose; Class 4 - "Healthy aging". The sociodemographic descriptive statistics of the sample were calculated using SPSS version 26 software. The findings described in this study corroborate the evidence in the literature on the meanings of retirement, reinforcing the importance of understanding the perceptions of employees in the face of this crucial moment of transition. The thematic axes reflect the complexity and multidimensionality of the aging and retirement experience.Master Thesis Análise das falas de familiares e usuários do CAPS diante das camadas distais do modelo de Dahlgren e Whitehead sobre determinantes sociais em saúde(Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, 2024-12-20) Santos, Flávia Arichelle Cavalcante dos; Távora, Rafaela Carolini de Oliveira; https://orcid.org/0000-0003-0644-668X; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4017906740512071; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0777338531393229; Valença, Cecilia Nogueira; https://orcid.org/0000-0003-3998-3983; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2788316719185705; Lucena, Silvia Kalyma PaivaIntroduction: Mental well-being encompasses intrinsic and extrinsic factors of human beings, including biological, psychological, emotional, and sociocultural factors inherent to each society. Psychosocial Care Centers function as specialized care facilities for individuals with severe mental disorders and distress, integrating the network of outpatient care. Objective: To analyze the statements of family members and users of the Psychosocial Care Center regarding the layers Living and working conditions and General socioeconomic, cultural, and environmental conditions, according to the Dahlgren and Whitehead model. Method: This is a cross-sectional, descriptive, and exploratory study with a qualitative approach. Data collection took place at the Chiquita Bacana Psychosocial Care Center II, located in the municipality of Santa Cruz, Rio Grande do Norte, in the Trairi region. The inclusion criteria considered all users aged 18 and over who sought care at the Psychosocial Care Center during the data collection period and were accompanied by a person they identified as family. Structured interviews were conducted and divided into thematic categories. The findings were analyzed using the Social Determinants of Health model by Dahlgren and Whitehead. Results: Statements from 12 users and 12 family members were analyzed and are presented in thematic categories. Users and family members were unemployed or engaged in informal activities; those working expressed satisfaction with their roles. The primary source of income cited was social assistance programs and pension benefits. Most respondents lived in their own homes. The majority lived with others, with an average of three to four people per household. Regarding water supply, participants reported difficulties in access. Basic sanitation conditions included mentions of septic tanks and drainage systems; for waste collection, burning waste and collection vehicles were cited. Users and family members reported consuming three to four meals per day. The most frequently mentioned healthcare services were Basic Health Units and regional reference hospitals; the most commonly cited public services were health posts and educational institutions. Participants showed little interest in participating in cultural activities or those related to public policies. Most participants stated they lived in areas with adequate public lighting. Reports on urban paving included mentions of both unpaved and paved streets, with the greatest dissatisfaction related to public safety. Conclusion: The analysis of the collected statements suggests that living and working conditions, along with socioeconomic, cultural, and environmental factors, play a determining role as protective or vulnerability factors affecting the mental health of the studied population. These effects are directly linked to the quality, access, and effectiveness of available services and resources.Master Thesis Estratégia de fortificação da alimentação infantil com micronutrientes (NutriSUS): uma pesquisa documental (2015-2024)(Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, 2024-07-31) Medeiros, Isabelle Dantas; Pedrosa, Lúcia de Fátima Campos; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-5436-5115; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1863589790139155; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0774168151150055; Rolim, Ana Carine Arruda; Arruda, Ilma Kruze Grande deIntroduction: The NutriSUS program, the focus of this study, was launched in 2015 and restructured in 2022. Initially implemented in public daycare centers, the program was suspended during the COVID-19 pandemic and later adapted to Primary Health Care (PHC), focusing on children aged 6 to 24 months who are beneficiaries of the Programa Auxílio Brasil (PAB). The strategy involves the distribution of micronutrient sachets for home use, with supplementation cycles of 60 days, repeated three times a year. This documentary study aims to analyze and contextualize the NutriSUS program as a tool within Brazil's food and nutrition policies, from its implementation to the present, contributing to the understanding and improvement of these public policies. Objective: To explore and analyze data sources through documents on the NutriSUS program. Methods: The study is a qualitative research based on document analysis, which involved searches in databases using descriptors such as "micronutrients," "nutritional supplementation," and "child nutrition." Institutional repositories, public documents, institutional websites, and digital media were consulted. The search was structured with indicators of authorship, authenticity, textual reliability, and textual nature, categorizing theses, dissertations, and scientific articles by degrees, periods, and topics covered. Results and Discussion: A total of 72 documents were identified, covering a variety of contexts related to the topic. These documents included news articles, videos, guides, reports, technical notes, ordinances, articles, theses, dissertations, final papers, and abstracts published in conference proceedings. The analysis of these materials allowed for the evaluation of the coverage, implementation, adherence, and effectiveness of the NutriSUS program. Final Considerations: The NutriSUS program plays an important role in public health policies by improving food and nutritional security, as well as the quality of life of its beneficiaries. Although there are challenges related to management and logistics, the implementation of public policies in the SUS (Brazil's Unified Health System) is essential for promoting health and preventing diseases. Documentary research was fundamental in identifying sources that address a wide variety of topics related to the NutriSUS program. However, the analysis revealed some gaps in the content, suggesting that the scope of the program warrants further follow-up studies to evaluate the effectiveness and impact of the intervention.Master Thesis Ingestão de alimentos, suplementos e bebidas durante o trabalho de parto de risco habitual: uma revisão de escopo(Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, 2024-05-28) Soares, Brenda Kelly Pontes; Magalhães, Adriana Gomes; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-0279-5930; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5918222264099117; https://orcid.org/0000-0001-7873-1653; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2729929541401362; Rolim, Ana Carine Arruda; Araújo, Jessica Naiara de MedeirosIntroduction: In the 1940s, dietary restriction during labor was common due to the risk of stomach content aspiration. However, widespread food restriction is now being discontinued, and oral intake during routine labor is encouraged. Objective: To map evidence regarding the effects of food, supplements, and beverages consumption in women experiencing routine labor. Method: Initially, a protocol for a scoping review was developed and registered on the Open Science Framework (OSF). This review followed the guidelines of the Joanna Briggs Institute and PRISMA-ScR methodology. The research question was: “What are the effects of food, dietary supplements, and beverages intake during routine labor and childbirth?” The review involved searching various databases, including Cochrane Library, Medline/PubMed, Embase, CINAHL, Web of Science, Google Scholar, and BDTD. Studies from 2013 to 2023 were included. Two independent reviewers selected articles based on inclusion/exclusion criteria using the Rayyan® software. A tool developed by the authors was used for data extraction and methodological analysis of the included articles. The results were presented using the PRISMA flowchart extension. Results: The scoping review protocol was submitted to the journal PLOS ONE (Qualis A1). Initially, 2,936 studies were identified through the search, and after applying eligibility criteria, 130 studies were read in full. Of these, 22 studies were included in the review, with most publications in English. The analysis revealed that most studies did not provide detailed information on food, supplement, or beverage intake—such as frequency and quantity. Additionally, they did not report isolated effects on labor outcomes but generally discussed the effects of food and liquid intake. The included studies assessed various outcomes, including reduced induction rates, shorter labor duration, type of delivery, incidence of vomiting or nausea, and maternal satisfaction. There was no consensus among the analyzed studies regarding carbohydrate supplement intake. Dates were the most frequently mentioned and studied food, showing relevant results in reducing induction rates and labor duration. Conclusion: This review identified positive effects of food, dietary supplements, and beverage intake during labor, including reduced need for induction, shorter labor duration, and increased maternal satisfaction. Given these benefits, this practice should be further encouraged in obstetric services and communicated to pregnant women. Finally, there is a need for clinical trials that specifically analyze the effects of food, supplements, and beverages on labor outcomes.Master Thesis Repercussões do ensino remoto emergencial na formação em saúde coletiva de nutricionistas de uma universidade pública do Rio Grande do Norte(Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, 2024-08-30) Carvalho, Giovanna Melo de; Telles, Mauricio Wiering Pinto; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-5568-6877; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3146268167204989; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1126015072163601; Medeiros, Anna Cecilia Queiroz de; Gomes, Sávio MarcelinoThe Emergency Remote Learning (ERL) model adopted by Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) during the COVID-19 pandemic presented various challenges for health-related degree programs, considering the essential in-person nature of many activities conducted during the educational process. This includes training aligned with the principles of the Unified Health System (SUS), with an emphasis on Public Health, according to the National Curriculum Guidelines (DCNs). The consequences of ERT further exposed the pre-existing challenges in the training of health professionals, particularly nutritionists. Nutrition education in Brazil has long been marked by deficiencies in integrating biological and social knowledge, especially concerning Public Health (PH), which also suffers from the lack of a clear profile of the necessary competencies and skills for nutritionists working in the field. There is a gap in the literature on how nutritionists were trained in the PH field during ERL. This issue becomes even more significant within public universities, institutions with social responsibility to the community, integration of teaching-service-community, and alignment with training for the SUS. In light of this, this qualitative and exploratory case study aimed to investigate PH training within a Nutrition course at an HEI in Rio Grande do Norte during emergency remote teaching, using students, graduates, and faculty members in the field as references. The study sought to gather their perceptions, concerns, challenges, and hopes to contribute to the body of knowledge regarding nutritionists’ training in PH. The research subjects are faculty, graduates, and students from the Nutrition undergraduate program at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (central campus) and the Faculty of Health Sciences of Trairi (FACISA campus). Data was collected through semi-structured interviews specific to each group, and document analysis of the Pedagogical Projects of the Nutrition course at both HEIs, as well as the syllabi of curricular components related to PH during ERL. The obtained data were analyzed using Thematic Content Analysis. ERL had negative impacts on the training of nutritionists at UFRN, with the severity depending on the student's profile, the characteristics of the curricular component, and the faculty's methodology. Regarding PH, the most significant impact was the inability to carry out practical activities and develop the teaching-service-community connection. Weaknesses in PH education were revealed at both campuses, predating the pandemic. Faculty expressed great dissatisfaction with ERL, particularly regarding the use of communication and information technologies (CITs), increased workload, and lack of student interaction. Despite the challenges reported by both groups, the innovations and adaptations made were also considered positive as tools to enhance in-person teaching. Thus, we can observe the impact of remote learning on nutrition professionals' training in PH in the state, contributing to the reflection on the role of PH within the Nutrition degree program, seeking increasingly DCN-oriented health training and SUS-focused practice, with a more assertive use of communication and information technologies to enhance in-person education.Master Thesis Avaliação de conhecimentos e práticas dos profissionais da atenção primária à saúde sobre sono(Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, 2024-06-26) Araújo, Amanda Samara dos Santos; Souza, Jane Carla de; Távora, Rafaela Carolini de Oliveira; https://orcid.org/0000-0003-0644-668X; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4017906740512071; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-8769-4273; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5997878957114840; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9201370406080549; Sousa, Klayton Galante; Miguel, Mário André LeocádioIntroduction: Problems with the sleep/wake cycle and sleep disorders are considered public health problems, which can harm an individual's quality of life and well-being. However, there is little in the scientific literature what health professionals in the context of PHC in Brazil know about sleep and what professional practices are related to assisting the population with sleep changes and disorders. Objective: To evaluate knowledge about the sleep/wake cycle and sleep disorders and the application of this knowledge in the field of work among primary health care professionals in the context of the 5th Regional Public Health Unit (URSAP). Methods: 83 professionals with completed higher education, of both sexes, were included in the sample, of which 13 (with more than 1 year of experience in PHC) participated in the interviews. Sociodemographic information and knowledge about sleep were collected through the “A Saúde e o Sono” questionnaires and the translated version of the “Assessment of Sleep Knowledge in Medical Education” (ASKME). The Chi-square test was used to evaluate the sample distribution according to sociodemographic variables; sources of obtaining information; way of applying knowledge; percentage of correct answers and errors per knowledge question and the average percentage of correct answers for the questionnaire as a whole and for each domain/category. Working time and self-perception of knowledge about sleep were described as mean and standard deviation. Regarding qualitative data, word clouds, similarity analysis, Descending Hierarchical Classification (CHD) and content analysis were performed. Results: Most participants were aged 30 to 39 years (49.4%), female (72.3%), brown (50.6%), with postgraduate degrees (61.1%), average length of work of 3.7 ± 4.5 years, 68 non-medical professionals and 15 physicians, with an average knowledge of 5.7 ± 1.9 on the Likert scale. The most sought-after source of information about sleep was digital media (60.2%), followed by undergraduate degrees (48.2%). Regarding knowledge about sleep hygiene, 35% answered “more or less” and reported using the information for their daily routine and to guide PHC users. Furthermore, 73% were not aware of the PHC notebooks from the Ministry of Health that provide guidance on the importance of asking patients about sleep. Regarding knowledge about sleep (health and sleep), the statements about “Consequences of Sleep Deprivation” were those that obtained the highest percentage of correct answers (93.07%). Overall, the categories had 71.05% of correct answers. In ASKME, the highest percentages of correct answers were for the statements about “Insomnia” (62.25%) and “Principles of Circadian Rhythm” (62.95%). The frequency of correct answers in the total questionnaire was 44.97%. Regarding qualitative data, many professionals reported asking about patients’ sleep, however, they reported that there was never any action in the workplace. Despite this, they attest to the possibility of carrying out interventions on the subject. Regarding guidance on sleep during consultations, it was noted that most professionals felt insecure about talking about what was passed on to patients. Finally, the content analysis generated 2 thematic categories: “Work process of health professionals in their workplaces” and “Approach to sleep in the workplace: absence and possibilities of integration into the professional routine”. Final considerations: There are significant gaps in terms of detailed knowledge about CSV, sleep disorders and sleep hygiene practices based on scientific evidence. In addition, some professionals summarize their guidance in talking about sleep hygiene, disregarding individual differences in bedtime and wake-up times and the need for sleep hours of individuals.
