(69° Congresso Anual da ABM - Internacional, 2014) Nascimento, Rubens Maribondo do; Assis, Raimison Bezerra de; Valcacer, Samara Melo; Silva, Camila Cruz da; Silva, Ariadne de Souza; Delmonte, Maurício Roberto Bomio; Paskocimas, Carlos Alberto; Gomes, Uílame Umbelino; Motta, Fabiana Villela da
Nickel-zinc ferrites are ferrimagnetic ceramic materials with cubic spinel type crystal structure, space group Fd3m belonging to being a solid solution composition of NiO, ZnO and Fe2O3. The complex polymerization method has enormous potential for obtaining magnetic ceramics, because it is a simple process, that originates from materials with high purity, which leads to obtaining powders with high chemical homogeneity and high surface area. This work aims to evaluate the structural and morphological characteristics of ferrites Ni0,25Zn0,75Fe2O4 and NiFe2O4 obtained by polymerization complex method. The solution was subjected to a final temperature of 120°C until the formation of the resin pyrolysed at a temperature of 350°C for 2 hours and calcined at 500°C for 2 hours. The resulting powders were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), thermal analysis (TG/ DSC) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The results of XRD showed the formation of two compositions majority of ferrite phase. The results of SEM micrographs showed the formation of agglomerated particles with longitudinal plates to both compositions being important microstructural characteristics for magnetic application. The method of polymerization of complexes appeared as a promising method to obtain ceramic powders of nickel ferrite and nickel-zinc alloy for magnetic application.

Effects of microwave-assisted hydrothermal treatment and of use of capping reagent on the photophysical properties of SrMoO4 phosphors
(Springer, 2017-12) Paradelas, Sidney M.V.; Gonçalves, Rosana F.; Motta, Fabiana Villela da; Lima, Renata Cibely Freire de; Li, Maximo S.; Longo, Elson; Marques, Ana Paula de A.
Strontium molybdate particles (SrMoO4) with uniform shapes have applications in various fields such as phosphors, optical fibers, scintillators, magnets, sensors, and catalysts. SrMoO4 were prepared by Microwave-Assisted Hydrothermal (MAH) method with variations in applied experimental parameters. The effect of the applied synthesis methodology and experimental parameters on the morphology, particle size, sample uniformity and optical properties of the SrMoO4 were studied. In this study, was observed that the microwave radiation favors an organization of material and that this organization can be changed with a capping agent, which provokes alterations in morphology, a disorder-order degree of material and variations of band gap energy. This study indicates that surface defect states favor an alteration in properties of the PL emission. The control of a surface state, the particle size and morphology can be a form to modify the property in accordance with optics characteristics the desired one.

In the synthesis of the nanocomposites, using the Pechini method, ceria citrate was prepared to cover ZrO2 stabilized with commercial Yttrium in proportions of 1, 3 and 5 mol% of CeO2. The property of FL was evaluated in the characterization of the ZrO2 nanocomposites stabilized with Yttrium coated with ceria the techniques of X-Ray Diffraction, Scanning Electron Microscopy, X-ray Dispersive Energy and Photoluminescent Emission (PL) evaluated at room temperature. Note that when varying the percentage of the amount of mol in the coating there is an influence on the PL intensity of the material, indicating that a lower percentage in mol of coating causes a higher emission when compared to the material with greater percentage in mol of coating, due to the generation of a degree of order and disorder originated from the interface between the two materials.
