Paralelos composicionais: a fotografia como meio de aprendizagem musical

Abstract

The present work has the objective of reporting about creative processes conditioned to an interdisciplinarity, according to a personal observation that I made between two artistic and scientific areas of knowledge; and to create a dialogue between western music composition and photographic composition technique, emphasizing the semantic similarities of their conceptualizations and their technical and creative processes, considering the bibliographical review that is also interdisciplinary. We will contemplate about how it is possible to observe similarities between the compositional techniques present in music and photography, whether this dialogue being present at the semantic, synaesthetic or technical level, pondering about the parallels between these compositional areas. In a second moment we will analyze the value of interdisciplinarity, exposing and evaluating the reasons why a comprehensive and globalizing teaching is important, as an effective and valid way for learning music. We will also discuss about the trajectory that the science had been fragmented and disciplined by the end of the twentieth century; and we have witnessed a contrary movement to the fractionation of knowledge, when the specialized sciences have been connected with other areas. We will finish the study with an analysis of how it would be possible to apply the interdisciplinary compositional parallels in the music teaching, as well as a debate about the importance of composition and the creative processes for the more effective and efficient musicalization.
