O Serviço social e o terceiro setor: uma reflexão acerca dos desafios e possibilidades do/a assistente social na APAE/Natal

Abstract

The purpose of this monograph is to analyze the Professional Work of Social Service in the entities that make up the Third Sector from the insertion in the APAE / Natal. The research sought to understand the historical and political aspects of Social Service in Brazil; analyze the exercise of the social worker in the Third Sector, and problematize the social service in the APAE / Natal. It addresses the historical and political aspects of social service based on reflections on the genesis of the profession in Brazil, highlighting the trajectory of Social Service in the Brazilian context, the Political Ethical Project of Social Service and Fight against conservatism, highlighting the reconfiguration of social spaces occupations of the Social Wizards and the demands of the Profession in the Contemporaneity that characterize the professional work of the Social Worker. It also discusses the Professional Worker of the Social Worker in the Third Sector, emphasizing the APAE / Natal and the advances of public policies focused on the fundamental rights of people with disabilities in Brazil. The methodological course is based on qualitative research and was carried out through bibliographical and documentary research. Thus, we prioritized the literature review on the object of research, especially with regard to knowledge assimilated during graduation in Social Work and in the period of compulsory curricular traineeship. Among the results obtained, it is worth noting that the APAE / Natal social service is based on the Code of Ethics of the Social Worker and on the fundamental principles of the profession, with a view to guaranteeing the social and political rights of the user population. allows the Social Worker to work in a planned and articulated way with other professionals, developing different possibilities of professional performance.
