dc.description.abstract	This paper deals with an assessment of changes in two climatic variables of two reserve areas located in the Potiguar Basin region, in the State of Rio Grande do Norte, the Açu National Forest and the Ponta do Tubarão Sustainable Development Reserve. The objective of this work is to understand the relationship between the different forms of energy exploration, renewable and nonrenewable, and variations in albedo and surface temperature in the analyzed areas, taking into account also the different geosystems and geo - factors that make up the Potiguar Basin. The methods used are based on data produced by remote sensing based on GEObia (GEOgraphicObject-Based Image Analysis) technique and crossing with physical data pre-existing in the study area. The results indicate that there are changes in the reserve areas, related to the exploitation of biomass, oil exploitation and production of electricity based on wind farms. The characteristics of the observed geosystems present sectors with high natural indices of albedo, and in many of them were identified tendencies of significant increase of the indexes analyzed, being able to be considered preponderant for the expansion of the classified areas in process of desertification, since it is one of the few areas of the world with connection between coastal strips with semi-arid climate	pt_BR
dc.description.resumo	O presente artigo trata de uma avaliação referente às alterações de duas variáveis climáticas de duas áreas de reserva localizadas na região da Bacia Potiguar, no Estado do Rio Grande do Norte, a Floresta Nacional de Açu e a Reserva de Desenvolvimento Sustentável de Ponta do Tubarão. O objetivo do trabalho é compreender a relação entre as diversas formas de exploração energética, renováveis e não renováveis, e as variações nos níveis de albedo e temperatura superficial nas áreas analisadas, levando em consideração também os diferentes geossistemas e geofácies que compõe a Bacia Potiguar. Os métodos empregados baseiam-se em dados produzidos pelo sensoriamento remoto baseando-se na técnica GEObia (GEOgraphic-Object-Based Image Analysis) e cruzamento com dados físicos preexistentes da área de estudo. Os resultados apontam que há alterações nas áreas de reserva, relacionadas à exploração de biomassa, explotação petrolífera e produção de energia elétrica baseada em usinas eólicas. As características dos geossistemas observados apresentam setores com altos índices naturais de albedo, e em muitos deles foram identificadas tendências de aumento significativo dos índices analisados, podendo ser considerados preponderantes para ampliação das áreas classificadas em processo de desertificação, uma vez que se trata de uma das poucas áreas do mundo com conexão entre faixas litorâneas com clima semiárido	pt_BR
