The research is part of the qualitative, but also it is an action research. Justified from the desire to imbricate the school pedagogical direction ground to provide the meeting with the experience art for the construction of a dialogue between art and science. Research aim to investigate the question of how art at the Escola Municipal Irmã Arcângela can enable the development of perception for learning in the visual arts. Specifics are known art from images produced by a local artist, proposing moments of appreciation and creation. This text is structured as follows: initial considerations, theoretical and methodological approach, development, final consideration and appendix. For the construction of this article have been identified as interlocuters the following authors: Caldas (1989); Ferraz (2010); Fusari (2010); Barbosa (2010); Dondis (2015); Marques (2014). The conclusions point that the teacher should promote learning situations that happen moments connections with everyday life, theoretical and methodological basis, causing the development of belonging and personal poetics of all individuals in the process. The continuing education of teachers should be presented as "food" for an innovative practice can involve everyone as a researcher, trying to understand their practice.
