Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, VE assumes the role of providing timely and qualified information for decision making. Given this scenario, a Health Situation Room (SDSS) was established, which gathers information, analyzes in order to characterize problems and propose possible solutions, linked to social intervention and management. The objective of the study is to report the experience of implementing and operationalizing an SDSS focused on COVID-19, as well as presenting the products arising from this tool to encourage management decision making. The experience report that includes the description of its implementation was used. The results of this SDSS are visualized through the planning of actions, issuance of updated and reliable health information in the form of epidemiological bulletins for the population and contribution to directing strategies to combat COVID-19, supported by public policies that guide the SUS. It is concluded that this tool, used as an element of articulation of ideas and actions, can strongly contribute to the support of health surveillance in the municipality and give direction to decision-making in a qualified way.Vigilância em saúde.Sala de situação em saúde.COVID-19.Health surveillance.Health situation room.bachelorThesis
