Acompanhamento de neonatos com pé torto congênito postural: uma série de casos. 2020. 55f. Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso (Graduação em Fisioterapia) - Faculdade de Ciências da Saúde do Trairi, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, Santa Cruz, 2020.https://repositorio.ufrn.br/handle/123456789/34110Background: Although it is recognized that early intervention is essential for good development of clubfoot (CC), little is known about the treatment and monitoring of postural CC. This study aims to monitor the growth of the foot of neonates diagnosed with postural PTC by remote monitoring, from a series of cases. Methods: This is a prospective study, with a series of cases, carried out at Hospital Universitário Ana Bezerra. From the neonatal screening, 13 newborns (NBs) diagnosed with postural changes in the feet were recruited and allocated to two lines of care. Seven NBs were randomized to G1: Mobilization + Ethyl Vinyl Acetate orthosis (MO) and six to G2: Mobilization + bandage (BD). The prospective follow-up, via the call and video platform, took place for an average duration of 30 days. Foot flexibility was assessed by Pirani's scoring system before and after treatment. Results: Of the 13 newborns evaluated, five (38.5%) had bilateral involvement and five (38.5%) unilateral on the right, with no associated deformities. The most frequent type of positional alteration of the foot was the varus, representing 54% of the cases evaluated. Eight (61%) had a positive family history of CC. After a month of follow-up, five infants in G1 reached 0 on the Pirani scale against one in G2. Conclusion: Tele-follow-up proved to be an efficient resource for the care of newborns with postural PTC, since the monitored infants showed improvement in the flexibility of the feet.Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 3.0 Brazilhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/3.0/br/ÓrteseOrthosisPé Torto/CongênitoClubfoot/CongenitalRecém-NascidoNewbornAcompanhamento de neonatos com pé torto congênito postural: uma série de casosFollow-up of neonates with postural congenital cross: a series of casesbachelorThesis
