This study aimed to identify non pharmacological methods (NPMs) for the control of pain during labor, used and reported in the literature by health professionals. A research was accomplished in the bases of data LILACS, SciElo e MEDLINE with the descriptors of health: Labor pain, obstetric nursing, labor, obstetric .Of the 32 brazilian articles found, only 14 met the eligibility criteria, being they published among 2010 and 2016.
