It is grounded in the inclusion principles of Mantoan (2003, 2006), Sassaki (1997), Rodrigues (2006), Freire (2002), and the contributions of Vygotsky (2011), Carvalho (2005), and Gil (2002). The methodology involved the application of a semi-structured online questionnaire, with 11 quantitative and qualitative questions, sent via WhatsApp to the directors of the institutions and answered by 26 teachers from Early Childhood Education and the early years of Elementary School. The results indicate that, although there is awareness of the importance of inclusion, the main challenges include the lack of adapted teaching resources, the absence of specialized professionals, the need for continuous teacher training, and resistance from students and families to the inclusion process. Also highlighted is the overload of teachers in heterogeneous classrooms, especially in schools located in rural areas. As solutions, participants suggest increasing adapted pedagogical resources, strengthening the family-school partnership, and implementing practical training for teachers.
