The aim is, therefore, to present the cultural actions developed in the In the School Library Visconde de Sabugosa Child Education Center (NEI) Of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN), as a way of showing that it is possible to make the school library a space rich in information and imagination, attractive and inviting for children. It assumes that the library is an instrument of cultural action, which aims to educate and transform the individual. It draws on the theoretical basis characteristics of school libraries, presents the concept of cultural action, discusses the differentiation of cultural action, cultural manufacturing and cultural animation. It aims to establish cultural marketing development within the library. It reflects on the importance of the librarian to adopt the posture of cultural agent and in front of this perspective, emphasizes his role as mediator of reading and readership, identifying the librarian competence among the actions. As for the methodology, bibliographical and documentary research was used, in an exploratory and descriptive study.
