From this, the research is structured by the temporal demarcation of the electoral and political context between the years 2018 and 2022 that the scenario originates and its evolution, highlighting the influence of social networks in the amplification of extremes through polarizing discourses. To this end, the research uses a literature review from an essayistic perspective with the aim of identifying the factors and their possible consequences for social cohesion and Brazilian democracy.
