In this sense, one of the contexts that is perceived as a locus of these constant transformations and adjustments is the organizational environment. The current scenario in which these organizations are inserted is increasingly demanding in terms of quality, transparency, treatment and management of information as well as the behaviors associated with this process. In this context, ensuring full access to information with quality and effectiveness has become a fundamental task, greatly impacting the functioning of these institutions. Thus, public institutions as non-profit organizations provide relevant services to society, whether for their internal or external users. In this type of organization, the efficient management of information flows is essential for decisionmaking processes, requiring continuous and effective transmission of the information that is produced, made available and stored. That said, the present study aims to analyze the PROGESP Portal in light of the information search behavior of users of the UFRN internal community. The methodology used was bibliographical research considering subjects related to Information Management, Information Behavior and Digital Information Environments. The research had a quantitative-qualitative approach; Regarding the nature it was applied, and in relation to the objectives, it is defined as descriptive and exploratory using a monographic method of the case study type. To collect empirical evidence, we used a structured questionnaire applied to internal users of the UFRN Dean of People Management portal. Data analysis was carried out using simple descriptive statistics. The results found indicate satisfaction on the part of the portal's internal users, but, however, the need for improvement in the site's structure was indicated specifically in relation to the content, layout and organization of the thematic categories. It was noticed that in the context of Information Behavior, Kuhlthau's (1991) model was essential, as it guided the identification of users' informational behaviors as well as the proposed solutions to fill the identified gaps. It was concluded that the objectives were achieved in their entirety and that the results can contribute to the improvement of informational tools and the optimization of information flows within the scope of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte, in addition to paving the way for future research that address and delve deeper into the topic.Acesso AbertoGestão da informaçãoGestão do conhecimentoComportamento informacional - comportamento de busca da informaçãomasterThesisCNPQ::CIENCIAS SOCIAIS APLICADAS
