We discussed throughout the writing about dance as an area of knowledge, its importance and possible approaches to its teaching in this first stage of basic education. We aim to problematize and reflect on your educational dimension, its social, cultural and political role of the body in society, in addition to the construction of knowledge that occurs through the relationship with the subject and the world. As a methodological sport, qualitative research of a theoretical nature was used, the starting from dialogue with authors who address the topic in focus.
