Avaliação da funcionalidade de mulheres com endometriose por meio do teste sentar e levantar. 2022. 35f. Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso (Graduação em Fisioterapia), Departamento de Fisioterapia, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, Natal, 2022.https://repositorio.ufrn.br/handle/123456789/50428Endometriosis is defined as the presence of stroma and endometrial glands in extrauterine sites. Its etiopathogenesis is still not well established and because it is a chronic and painful disease, it is important because it has a significant impact on the functionality of affected women. In this context, this study aims to evaluate the level of functionality in women with endometriosis through the sit and stand test, considering that this test is a simple instrument with high sensitivity, thus enabling the study. Through a cross-sectional study, 81 women were recruited through medical references and digital media from June 2022 to November 2022, in the city of Natal-RN. All volunteers were submitted to the initial assessment, where the following were performed: anamnesis, physical examination, pain assessment, functional examination and application of the fatigue questionnaire. In the evaluation of functionality, the sit-to-stand test was performed in 30 seconds. It was observed that the volunteers in the endometriosis group were older, had more children, had a higher BMI and waist circumference. Regarding the evaluation of the functionality of the sit and stand test, a significant difference of p-value <0.05 was observed in the statistical difference when comparing the two groups. From the analysis of the results of this study, it can be seen the reduction of functionality in women with endometriosis through the performance in the sit and stand test. Sociodemographic aspects (pain, age, high BMI, number of children) may be predictors of reduced functionality in this case. Similar predictors of pain functional disability - suggestive of central sensitization - appear to play a role in dysmenorrhea, regardless of etiology.Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 3.0 Brazilhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/3.0/br/EndometrioseMulheresDor pélvicaAvaliação da funcionalidade de mulheres com endometriose por meio do teste sentar e levantarEvaluation of the functionality of women with endometriosis through the sit and stand testbachelorThesisCNPQ::CIENCIAS DA SAUDE
