Subsequently, attention must be paid to the introduction of complementary feeding, a crucial moment in life when despite breast milk is still the main source of nutrients, this is also when the relationship with food is established and the basis for their eating habits in the future. The main purpose of this work is to contribute to promoting healthy feeding practices in the child population, developing an informative and didactic material (booklet) on breastfeeding and complementary feeding introduction, which can be distributed to pregnant and breastfeeding women and relatives in primary health care under the Brazilian Health Unique System (SUS). To achieve this goal, a literature review was carried out, compiling updated information on breastfeeding and complementary feeding introduction, encompassing public health policies aimed at this area. The information available in the booklet is of utmost importance for the family's autonomy in promoting health in the early years of their child's life, particularly in the nutrition's scope. The graphical qualities of the product aim to engaging the reader and making the reading experience more enjoyable.
