Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso (Graduação em Engenharia Ambiental) - Centro de Tecnologia, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, Natal, 2019.https://repositorio.ufrn.br/handle/123456789/37100Nowadays, there is a great search for technologies that provide more energy efficiency and less impact on the environment. Therefore, the alternative and renewable energies have been the focus of several researches around the world. Lately, the development of wind technologies has grown significantly, leading to cost savings. The aim of this research was to analyze the wind energy in Brazil, given the importance of the diversification of the national energy matrix, prioritizing economic and environmental benefits, when deciding to implement the wind farms. This study considered deployment costs, operating costs and maintenance costs, furthermore, the natural factors that involve all the main sources of electricity in the country. It was visible that less dependence on sources such as hydroelectric and thermoelectric sources is essential, as factors such as the low rainfall and elevation of Greenhouse effect Gases can be extremely harmful to the security of society.Attribution-NonCommercial 3.0 Brazilhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/3.0/br/HidroelétricaTermoelétricaEnergia eólica.A Perspectiva da energia eólica no BrasilbachelorThesis
