As an informational unit, it contributes to the democratization of knowledge and the strengthening of education. In this context, it becomes essential to understand how the concept of the school library is addressed in Information Science literature, considering its constant evolution and relevance. This study aims to analyze how the concept of School Library has been incorporated into the scientific production of the field over the past five years, through a bibliometric survey in the Scopus database. Specifically, it identifies the most prolific authors and their affiliations, the quantity and temporal evolution of publications, as well as the most recurrent sources and the insertion of the topic across different areas of knowledge. The research adopts an exploratory character, based on a bibliographic survey of conventional and digital sources, including books, articles, and conference papers. It uses a qualitative-quantitative approach and bibliometric analysis to examine production trends. The data reveal a predominance of research in English-speaking countries, particularly the United States, and low Brazilian presence on the international scene. A publication peak in 2021 is observed, with a focus on articles from the Social Sciences, highlighting an interdisciplinary approach centered on the educational field.
