Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso (Graduação em Ciências Sociais) - Departamento de Ciências Sociais, Universidade Federal Do Rio Grande do Norte, Natal,2024.https://repositorio.ufrn.br/handle/123456789/62173This monograph investigates the boundaries of social classes in contemporary society, highlighting the role of immaterial labor as a hegemonic element in shaping these boundaries. Immaterial labor, characterized by the production of knowledge, information, communication, and emotions, has become central to the global economy, challenging the industrial and material traditions of labor. The research explores how immaterial labor contributes to the formation of new social classes and the redefinition of existing ones. The methodology was developed using the essay as the main approach, allowing for a reflective deep dive based on authors such as Antonio Negri and Michael Hardt, who discuss the transition from material to immaterial labor and its sociopolitical implications. The analysis focuses on three main aspects: the knowledge economy and the new creative class; the precarization and fragmentation of labor; and sociocultural impacts. It concludes that immaterial labor not only redefines class boundaries but also imposes new challenges and opportunities for social mobility. The hegemony of immaterial labor creates a scenario where the ability to produce and manipulate information becomes crucial for social positioning, simultaneously reinforcing existing inequalities and generating new dynamics of power and privilege.Attribution 3.0 Brazilhttp://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/br/Fronteira de classes; trabalho imaterial; multidão; hegemonia do trabalho; dinâmicas de poder.Class boundaries; immaterial labor; multitude; labor hegemony; power dynamics.Trabalho Imaterial: Fronteiras de Classe na Era ContemporâneaImmaterial Labor: Class Boundaries in the Contemporary ErabachelorThesis
