The documentation produced to control the activity offers a volume of information little worked from the perspective of information management. So, this article aimed to identify the main information regarding the activity of non-compulsory supervised internship in the Course Coordination of the presential Pedagogy, in order to obtain information relevant to the work processes and decision making. It is a descriptive research, of quantitative and qualitative nature. Data collection was done through documentary research, in the available control systems. The data collected were analyzed using descriptive statistics and the information management model of McGee and Prusak (1994). The available information indicated that the non-compulsory internship is an activity of great interest to the students, and there are trainees in all periods of the course in which there is permission. However, there was a decrease of 21% in the vacancies offered in the analyzed period. It was also verified that most granting institutions are private entities, in the municipality of Natal. It was concluded that it is important to promote information management, increasing the processing of stored information and producing material regarding the conditions of non-mandatory internship, for use in decisions within the scope of the Course Coordination
