Thus, the article aims to chart out, in the period between 1960-2015, the curricular components of the undergraduate curriculum at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN), which deal with the deficiency in its various contexts, and also discuss how the theme of disability and its views were portrayed in these curriculums. We took advantage of an exploratory and documentary research in electronic database of SIGAA / UFRN, held from January to March 2015. The results show a steady increase in the supply of curriculum components focusing on disability during the studied period, notably in areas of education and BSL (Brazilian Sign Language). It was researched on the data bases called Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System Online (MEDLINE), Latin American and Caribbean Literature in Health Sciences (LILACS) and Scientific Electronic Library Online (SCIELO). Thirty studies were selected and submitted to the thematic analysis. The categories which emerged were: The integral health care of the disabled person; Professional qualification to act with the disabled person and Accessibility to services in primary care. The analysis showed that despite some advances achieved in guaranteeing the health of the disabled person, the actions of care and rehabilitation in primary care are still scarce. In addition, the professional practices still lack qualification and training for the intended integral care and the lack of physical and attitudinal accessibility in the basic health units perpetuate a cycle of inequities historically constructed. It is, therefore, a descriptive and exploratory research with a qualitative approach. For data collection, we conducted semi-structured interviews with visually impaired subjects at the ophthalmology outpatient clinic of Onofre Lopes University Hospital (HUOL), in the city of Natal. The data were treated in light of the thematic analysis method described by Minayo (2008) and the contents of the listed registration units, inspired by the model of Social Determination of Health, proposed by Dahlgren and Whitehead (1991). Bibliometric review study conducted in October 2018 on the Sucupira Platform. The descriptor “Intensive Care Units” was used and included theses and dissertations published from 2013 to 2017. The data were tabulated in Microsoft Excel® and the abstracts processed in the Interface of R pour les Analyzes Multidimensionnelles de Textes et de Questionnaire (IRAMUTEQ). The study consisted of 181 productions, of which 71.8% were dissertations, 20.6% theses and 7.6% monographs of professional master's degrees. The regions of Brazil with the highest percentages were Southeast (44.0%) and South (23.2%). The main areas of concentration in the ICU are: "Nursing in the Brazilian social context" and "Health and Nursing". In the IRAMUTEQ the general corpus consisted of 181 dissertations and theses, 1714 text segments and 60,838 occurrences. Of these segments, 1584 (92.42%) were used, representing a significant corpus. The word cloud highlighted the ICU relationship with the "nursing team", "safety" and "patient safety" and the different subjects of care: "neonatal", "child" and "adult". The ICU is a rich and complex scenario for carrying out research and these productions contribute to the improvement of nursing care and patients' prognosisArticle Para uma nova arte de viver: os espaços e as práticas de reabilitação da pessoa com deficiência visual(Universidade Federal de Itajubá (UNIFEI), 2020-07-06) Amorim, Érico Gurgel; Medeiros Neta, Olivia Morais de; Guimarães, JacileideThe experience of visual impairment leads to new learning, among which the role of rehabilitation and its repercussions for the understanding of life dynamics stand out. This study aims at Analyzing the spaces and practices of rehabilitation experienced by subjects with visual impairment, immersed in their daily lives. The technique used was that of a focus group and the data obtained were submitted to thematic analysis. The study obtained ethical approval for its realization. As for the results, the themes that emerged from the speeches were: the first steps: the rehabilitational trajectory; relearn to do: the activities of daily life (avd); relearn to move: the steps to orientation and mobility; repressing to read and write: the meeting with braille; and a survey at the percurse: assistant technologies. The study concludes that despite the improvements achieved in the availability of services aimed at the enjoyment of the rights of citizenship and freedom by people with blindness and low vision, obstacles of a political, operational, access and use of technical and technological resources by such individuals still persist. Even so, rehabilitation has proved to be an important tool allied in the resumption of the art of living in the face of blindness
