In this context, this study aims to report the experience of a nursing student at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN) in an outreach project conducted in nephrology services, highlighting the contributions of this experience to professional training. This is a descriptive study, in the form of an experience report, based on practices that took place between November and December 2025. The methodology was based on direct care observations under multidisciplinary supervision, monitoring of dialysis routines, and field diary entries for subsequent reflective analysis; it did not require ethics committee approval as it did not identify individual patients. The results indicate that immersion in the service reduced the gap between theory and practice, enabling an understanding of complex equipment and vascular access. The main activities performed ranged from patient intake and vital sign measurement to the identification of complications and health education interventions.Bachelor Thesis Atuação da enfermagem no planejamento reprodutivo de mulheres vivendo com HIV: revisão de escopo(Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, 2026-06-23) Costa, Elanna Nayele de Freitas; Feijão, Alexsandra Rodrigues; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8649283681727209; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-7375-7202; 2731947318145900; Maximiano, Luzia Cibele de Souza; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2120715158471547; Araújo, Gabriela de Souza Martins Melo de; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-3096-2759; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8320620928250775Bachelor Thesis Processamento batimétrico de um cânion submarino adjacente à Lagoa de Guaraíras (Tibau do Sul/RN)(Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, 2026-07-14) Santos, Maira Grazielle Júlio Bezerra dos; Vital, Helenice; Silva, João Paulo Ferreira da; https://lattes.cnpq.br/3440836166489862; Silva, Carlos Cesar Nascimento da; Pereira, Tiago Rafael de BarrosThis study presents the processing and digital representation of high-resolution raw bathymetric data from a submarine canyon located on the eastern margin of Rio Grande do Norte state, adjacent to the Guaraíras Lagoon (Tibau do Sul, RN, Brazil). Developed under the SeabedMap Project using data acquired aboard the Brazilian Navy’s Hydroceanographic Vessel Vital de Oliveira, the research primarily aimed understand the morphology of this complex marine feature. To mitigate geometric errors and ensure cartographic reliability in accordance to International Hydrographic Organization (IHO) standards, the methodology involved processing raw acoustic data using CARIS HIPS and SIPS software; this included applying tidal and soud velocity profiles (SVP) corrections, as well as manually removing noise (outliers or spikes). As a result, three-dimensional models and bathymetric profile analysis enable the characterization of the sharp relief variations and steep slopes of the canyon, highlighting its role as a significant sedimentary conduit on the continental slope and helping to address the gap in scientific information regarding the deep-water environments of this Brazilian passive margin.Bachelor Thesis Os benefícios da aromaterapia como método de alívio da dor e ansiedade durante o trabalho de parto: revisão integrativa(Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, 2026-06-25) Cruz, Amanda Rafaelle Gama de Oliveira; Arantes, Sandra Lúcia; 0000-0002-3622-9363; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1165754115171652; 0009-0009-5175-4076; 7933263760347534; Silva, Hylarina Montenegro Diniz; 0000-0001-7522-9166; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1402684784511436; Silva, Louise Constância de Melo Alves; 0000-0002-0503-8417; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6745007213064216The general objective of this study was to identify, within scientific literature, the benefits of aromatherapy as a method for relieving pain and anxiety during labor. Specific objectives included identifying the main essential oils used in this context; describing the effects of aromatherapy on pain and anxiety reduction in women in labor; understanding how this practice acts to decrease pain and anxiety during labor, considering its physiological and emotional effects; and describing its application as a non-pharmacological method. This is an integrative literature review based on the analysis of national and international scientific publications. The search was conducted in recognized health databases such as the Virtual Health Library (BVS), Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO), PubMed, and the CAPES 4 Journal Portal—covering articles published between 2016 and 2026. After applying inclusion and exclusion criteria, 11 studies were selected for the final sample. The results were analyzed and discussed qualitatively using the categorical analysis method proposed by Bardin (1997), allowing for an in-depth understanding of aromatherapy's effects in the context of childbirth. The findings indicate that this practice has positive effects on reducing pain, stress, and anxiety, promoting relaxation and a sense of well-being in women in labor through mechanisms involving the olfactory and limbic systems. Lavender, chamomile, jasmine, and frankincense stand out as the most frequently used essential oils, applied via techniques such as inhalation, massage, topical application, and baths. It is concluded that aromatherapy is an effective, safe, and low-cost therapeutic practice, aligned with the principles of humanized childbirth care and Integrative and Complementary Health Practices.Bachelor Thesis Contribuições da realidade virtual no cuidado de enfermagem ao paciente crítico: uma revisão de escopo(Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, 2026-05-29) Souza, Ranicelly Paulino de; Ribeiro, Kátia Regina Barros; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-3513-7483; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4422189971983553; https://orcid.org/0009-0009-8390-1034; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2512865221170550; Silva, Hilderjane Carla da; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-8391-518X; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9926568904845971; Diniz, Kessya Dantas; https://orcid.org/0000-0001-6784-3166; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6905727224383587; Mourão, Vanessa Gomes; https://orcid.org/0000-0001-7252-3327; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5706812290759603Objective: To map the contributions of virtual reality (VR) in nursing care for adult patients admitted to the ICU, based on the literature. Method: A scoping review using the PCC (Population, Concept, and Context) strategy for the research question. The search was conducted across eight data sources, with no time or language restrictions. Study selection was performed independently by two researchers using the Rayyan platform, with disagreements resolved by a third reviewer. Full-text studies accessed via the CAPES Journal Portal through the Federated Academic Community (CAFe) were included. Data synthesis followed the PAGER framework, organizing findings into Patterns, Advances, Gaps, Evidence for practice, and Recommendations for future research. Results: The search identified 1,006 studies, nine of which comprised the final sample, including clinical trials, observational studies, feasibility pilots, and scoping reviews. Findings demonstrated consistent benefits of VR: reduction in anxiety, pain, and physiological stress parameters; improvements in sleep, psychological well-being, and cognition; early mobilization; and delirium prevention. Adverse effects—such as dizziness and nausea—were mild and transient, with no serious complications, although patients with delirium showed lower tolerance. Conclusion: VR is establishing itself as a promising, safe, and well-accepted non-pharmacological therapeutic tool capable of supporting professional autonomy, complementing the Systematization of Nursing Care, and humanizing intensive care. However, more robust nursing-led studies are still needed to validate standardized bedside clinical protocols.Bachelor Thesis A inteligência artificial no ensino de urgência e emergência para enfermagem: revisão de escopo(Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, 2026-05-04) Almeida, Maria Fernanda Rodrigues de; Ribeiro, Kátia Regina Barros; 0000-0002-3513-7483; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4422189971983553; https://orcid.org/0009-0004-8569-591X; https://lattes.cnpq.br/1999915062814989; Dantas, Daniele Vieira; 0000-0003-0307-2424; Nascimento, Maria Eduarda Silva do; 0000-0001-5578-5413This study aimed to characterize the applications of artificial intelligence in the education of nursing students in urgent and emergency care contexts. This is a scoping review conducted according to the Joanna Briggs Institute recommendations and reported in accordance with the PRISMA-ScR checklist. The guiding question was structured using the PCC strategy, considering nursing students as the population, artificial intelligence as the concept, and emergency nursing as the context. A total of 18 studies published between 2021 and 2025 were included. The findings were organized using the PAGER framework, which allowed the identification of four main patterns: artificial intelligence-mediated clinical simulation; support for clinical reasoning and decision-making; the use of AI as a pedagogical and educational design resource; and formative, ethical, structural, and humanistic challenges. The results indicate that these technologies have been used through clinical simulations, chatbots, virtual patients, generative tools, educational scenario development, and learning personalization strategies. In urgent and emergency care education, applications aimed at the safe training of critical situations, clinical communication, patient safety, management of acute events, and support for clinical judgment stood out. However, the analyzed literature remains recent, heterogeneous, and limited by exploratory studies, small samples, and a shortage of research specifically focused on urgent and emergency care. In addition, challenges related to response reliability, algorithmic bias, data privacy, infrastructure, faculty training, technological dependence, and preservation of the humanistic dimension of care were identified. It is concluded that artificial intelligence has the potential to qualify nursing education in critical care contexts, provided that it is incorporated as a complementary resource, with pedagogical planning, faculty supervision, validation of generated content, and attention to the ethical, institutional, and formative implications of its use.Bachelor Thesis Desenvolvimento e validação de cenário de simulação clínica sobre amamentação na graduação em enfermagem(Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, 2026-06-22) Lima, Livian Machado de Albuquerque; Silva, Richardson Augusto Rosendo da; https://orcid.org/0000-0001-6290-9365; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2184669241700299; https://orcid.org/0009-0002-6563-5704; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8875739951529286; Silva, Richardson Augusto Rosendo da; https://orcid.org/0000-0001-6290-9365; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2184669241700299; Santiago, Janmilli da Costa Dantas; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2216990944016249; Santos, Isabele Silva dos; https://orcid.org/0000-0003-0735-4904; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1357572863949441; Silva, Helena da Fonseca e; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1191848676051203This study sought to develop and validate the content of a clinical simulation scenario on breastfeeding, with the aim of contributing to the education and training of future nurses. This is a methodological study based on a literature review in the PubMed, SciELO, and LILACS databases. Method: The process was developed from four stages: Familiarization with the theme, exploration of other conceptual fields to identify new perspectives, selection of mother concepts and redefinition of the concept for the context of nursing care prescription. Main results: The analysis showed that safety in nursing care prescription depends on attributes such as clarity, completeness, individualization and scientific foundation. It also showed that the organization of the care process favors safety, while communication failures and absence of standardization pose risks. As results, we highlight the qualification of care, the strengthening of the nursing process and the greater safety of the patient. Conclusion: It is concluded that safety in nursing care prescription is a necessary extension of the paradigm of patient safety, considering that care interventions can also present risks when they are not planned, communicated and performed in a systematic way. The conceptual derivation allowed to identify attributes, antecedents and consequences that underpin a prescription of safe nursing, contributing to the strengthening of the Nursing Process and evidence-based clinical practice. It is recommended the validation of the concept and the development of instruments that favor its application in the different care scenarios.Bachelor Thesis Gestão e práticas na Farmácia Clínica do Hospital Universitário Onofre Lopes: percepção dos profissionais(Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, 2026-07-09) Teodoro, Guilherme Sammir Santos; Pétala Tuani Candido de Oliveira Salvador; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-3208-6270; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5628089389342234; 0009-0006-7853-379X; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9355306747023181; Salvador, Pétala Tuani Candido de Oliveira; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-3208-6270; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5628089389342234; Barros, Rosires Magali Bezerra de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3538892232310984; Oliveira, Lannuzya Veríssimo e; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-6881-898X; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4841870379922169The aim of this study was to understand healthcare professionals’ perceptions of the management and practices of the Clinical Pharmacy Unit at the Hospital Universitário Onofre Lopes (HUOL). It also contributes to the pathophysiology of several chronic diseases. The conventional pharmacological therapy is based on the use of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) and glucocorticoids, causing gastrointestinal, renal, cardiovascular, hepatic and metabolic side effects. Therefore, the search for safer and more effective alternative treatments has become a relevant research focus. Essential oils (EO) have emerged as promising multi-target anti-inflammatory agents, capable of modulating inflammatory mediators such as: TNF-α, IL-1β, IL-6, NF-κB, COX-2 and iNOS. However, its pharmaceutical application is limited by intrinsic physicochemical instability, volatility, hydrophobicity and low bioavailability. This review analyzed studies on essential oil-loaded lipid-based nanoparticles with anti-inflammatory activity. It emphasized data regarding on quality control parameters, physicochemical stability and in vitro and in vivo safety and efficacy assays. A systematized search was conducted through PubMed/MEDLINE, PubMed Central, ScienceDirect, SciELO, Virtual Health Library and Google Scholar databases, following the recommendation of PRISMA 2020 statement. The main lipid nanocarriers described for this purpose were liposomes (LUV), solid lipid nanoparticles (SLN), nanostructured lipid carriers (NLC) and nanoemulsions (NE). It was observed that across the acute, subacute and chronic experimental models, the nanoencapsulation consistently enhanced the anti-inflammatory effect of EO. Several formulations have reached efficacy results comparable to hydrocortisone, diclofenac or NSAIDs. Such systems seem to act on signaling pathways as NF-κB, MAPK and Keap1/Nrf2/HO-1. The consolidation of these systems as anti-inflammatory nanodrugs still have to overcome some issues. The absence of harmonized phytochemical standardization, persistent gaps in the nano-specific regulatory framework and the scarcity of clinical trials can delay the approval of such nanosystems. Lipid nanocarriers represent robust and viable platforms integrating the bioactive potential of EO into nanoparticles, resulting in stable, safe and efficient anti-inflammatory candidates for both human and veterinary clinical uses
