The structural integrity of cement cementation in oil wells is essential to ensure zonal isolation, operational safety, and the durability of the wells throughout their service life. However, conventional monitoring methods have limitations related to sensitivity, resolution, and the ability to continuously detect failures. In this context, iron oxide nanoparticles stand out as promising materials for the development of smart cementitious systems designed for structural monitoring. Thus, the objective of this study was to synthesize iron oxide nanoparticles via a hydrothermal route, investigating the influence of synthesis pressure and functionalization on their structural, morphological, and magnetic properties. The nanoparticles were obtained via conventional and pressurized hydrothermal synthesis, with and without surface functionalization. The samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Raman spectroscopy, and vibrating sample magnetometry (VSM). Overall, the results demonstrated that the synthesis route and functionalization influence the structural, morphological, and magnetic properties of the nanoparticles. These materials show potential for future applications in smart cementitious systems designed to monitor the structural integrity of cement liners in oil wells.

Corpos que resistem, mentes que adoecem: trabalho e sofrimento psíquico de Assistentes Sociais na contemporaneidade
(Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, 2025-11-24) Silva, Maria Amália Lima; Ferreira, Verônica Maria; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-0753-9223; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2112445114925319; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2936624453145813; Zacaron, Sabrina Silva; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8216770573908106; Silva, Beatriz Suellen Pereira da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6148770704148032
The general objective of this study is to analyze mental health issues among social workers, investigating their causes and the relationship with contemporary working conditions in the profession. Specifically, it aims to identify the manifestations and determinants of mental health problems among the working class in the context of contemporary capitalism, understand how gender, race, and class influence mental health among female workers, and examine the theoretical-political debate on mental health among social workers, considering working conditions and the resistance strategies developed by CFESS-CRESS. The research adopts a qualitative approach, combining a literature review and documentary analysis as its main methods. The study reveals that the increase in psychological distress among social workers in Brazil is closely linked to the precarization of working conditions, emotional overload, and the devaluation of the profession. Professionals face unstable employment, unattainable targets, and insufficient resources, in addition to being constantly exposed to the suffering of others, which exacerbates emotional strain. From the critical analysis conducted, the mental health of the category cannot depend exclusively on internal initiatives or individual support practices. Building more humane and sustainable work environments requires institutional policies, legal guarantees, and collective mobilizations that address the structural contradictions of capitalism and the forms of precarization imposed on social work. In this sense, care ceases to be merely a strategy of individual responsibility and becomes part of a broader project aimed at defending rights and transforming working conditions

Analyzing and understanding the dynamics of geographic space transformation are fundamental tools to support environmental management and planning actions at the local level. Based on an integrated approach, this study aims to identify and characterize the environmental systems of the Serra de São Bernardo, located in the semi-arid region of Rio Grande do Norte, through the analysis of its physical components such as geology, geomorphology, pedology, hydrography, climate, and land use and land cover. Geomorphology was used as the main criterion for defining environmental units, and the elements were analyzed based on cartographic materials and detailed descriptions of each theme. The results showed that Serra de São Bernardo stands out as a topographic prominence within the sertaneja surface of the Seridó Potiguar, characterized by predominantly metamorphic lithologies that have preserved this residual relief throughout the regional geomorphological evolution, which resulted in vast surrounding planation surfaces known as sertões. Its natural framework—such as shallow soils and steep slopes—indicates a high susceptibility to environmental degradation processes. In this context, the importance of integrated research focused on understanding environmental systems at the studied scale is highlighted, as well as the need to deepen investigations into the dynamics and vulnerability of these geosystems.

Aromaterapia e automassagem para promoção em saúde mental no centro de apoio operacional às promotorias de justiça de defesa da saúde: um projeto de intervenção
(Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, 2024-12-17) Fraga, Maria Kaylanne Silva do Nascimento; Oliveira, Lannuzya Veríssimo e; Barros, Rosires Magali Bezerra de; Alves, Kisna Yasmin Andrade
This is an intervention project that aims to implement aromatherapy and self-massage to promote the mental health of workers at the Operational Support Center as Health Prosecutors (CAOP-Saúde). The target audience is 12 workers between internships and permanent employees. For the development of the project, the following stages are proposed: I- Moment of welcome through a conversation circle in which participants will be invited to share their emotions, experiences and experiences in the context of self-care in mental health; II- Moment of the Workshop to be conducted by a professional specialized in self-massage and aromatherapy, in order to train and sensitize workers in the sector in self-care in mental health; III- Moment of implementation of the practices. It is believed that the multiple attributions of the servers in the scenario in question are weaknesses for the execution of the proposal, however, the low cost and ease of execution of the proposed practices make them feasible. It is expected to contribute to the improvement of quality of life conditions at work and, consequently, the mental health of workers in the sector.

O ensino de contrabaixo elétrico baseado em levadas de forró
(Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, 2018-12-06) Oliveira, Jefferson Alan Soares de; Bezerra, Edibergon Varela; Severo, José Simião; Cavalcante Junior, Mario Lucio Barbosa
This work aims to present and discuss the teaching of electric bass guitar through the use of the northeastern rhythms. As a methodology, we conducted a survey of educational materials that address this subject, conducting an interview with a student of electric bass, as well as through the empirical knowledge sought to answer the questions of the research. So as a result we can conclude that the method used in the teaching of electric bass contributed to student learning, as well as in the development of the levadas of forró and bass man techniques necessary for your initial training. Thus, this work aims to contribute significantly in the teaching of electric bass, as well as to the field of music education as a whole.

The technology is used as an ally in the construction of solutions that could allow the maximization of productivity. The use of Wireless Sensor Networks (or WSNs) has been gaining space in application development due to its ability to build ad hoc networks for monitoring and control of environments. Devices that make up an WSNs have energy restrictions and need to use mechanisms to maximize the availability of the devices that make up the network. The objective of this work was to develop a WSNs middleware capable of applying energy saving policies to the nodes belonging to the network and controlling their respective work cycles, optimizing energy consumption and avoiding waste, thus being able to make feasible areas such as aquaculture. The evaluation was performed through the establishment of metrics to quantify efficiency in terms of energy savings and scalability. The results obtained for the consumption difference between the three energy use policies implemented were 74.8mA, 74.5mA and 1.78mA. For the evaluation of scalability in relation to package loss, the results were 100% of packages sent without loss. For the evaluation of package loss, considering the insertion of new nodes in the network, the results were 100% of the packages sent and for the evaluation of scalability in relation to the loss of packages with removal of nodes in the network during its operation 100% of the successfully sent. A case study was carried out that analyzed the behavior of the application in a system for monitoring in a microalgae culture environment, being able to perform the collection of physicochemical data of an environment.
