This is an epidemiological, cross-sectional, quantitative study based on SISVAN data from 2024. Prevalence ratios were calculated with 95% confidence intervals. The results showed that, compared to White children, Black and mixed-race children presented lower rates of timely introduction of complementary feeding (30.4% and 37.9%; 95% CI = 0.76–0.82), lower dietary diversity (70.1% and 71.3%; 95% CI = 0.97–0.98), and lower consumption of vitamin A-rich foods (67.1% and 71.2%; 95% CI = 0.94–0.95). In contrast, they showed higher consumption of ultra-processed foods (42.5% and 36.6%) and a higher prevalence of continued breastfeeding (61.6% and 55.3%; 95% CI = 1.11–1.13). The differences were statistically significant (p < 0.05).Bachelor Thesis Percepções de mães de recém nascidos pré-termo internados na UTIN sobre o processo de amamentação: estudo qualitativo(Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, 2026-06-23) Ferreira, Josielle Vitoria Barbosa; Silva, Maria de Lourdes Costa; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4062479983995258; Silva, Maria de Lourdes Costa; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4062479983995258; Santiago, Janmilli da Costa Dantas; 0000-0001-5429-6108; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2216990944016249; Costa, Edilma de Oliveira; 0000-0003-4982-0061; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5367393249599693This is a descriptive exploratory study with a qualitative approach that aimed to understand mothers' experiences with the breastfeeding process in the context of a neonatal ICU. The study was conducted at the Januário Cicco maternity hospital, and data were collected from January 2026 to May 2026. Mothers of newborns with a gestational age below 32 weeks and a weight below 1500 g were included. Data collection was carried out through semi-structured interviews with 16 women who accompanied their children in the unit. The information resulting from the testimonies was analyzed according to the content analysis method, in the thematic analysis modality according to Bardin. Two categories emerged from the analysis, exposing the mothers' ease and difficulties in the breastfeeding process. The results showed that despite the difficulties encountered by the women during their time in the ICU, they identified positive experiences through interaction with the care team, mainly from the milk bank and the intermediate care unit (kangaroo care). Keywords: Prematurity. Breastfeeding. Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Postpartum women. In this context, the adoption of biosafety measures and the maintenance of up-to-date vaccination schedules are fundamental strategies for preventing occupational accidents and infectious diseases. Objective: To identify the role of nurses in developing actions related to the promotion of biosafety among aesthetics professionals. Methods: This qualitative narrative literature review was conducted using the Virtual Health Library (VHL), PubMed, and Google Scholar databases, including articles published within the last ten years. In addition, regulatory documents and legislation related to biosafety, occupational immunization, professional nursing practice, and activities performed in the beauty and aesthetics sector were analyzed. Results and Discussion: The findings indicate that, despite the biological risks to which aesthetics professionals are exposed, particularly those associated with the transmission of HIV and hepatitis B and C viruses, important gaps remain in knowledge and adherence to biosafety practices and occupational vaccination. The literature suggests that nurses may play a relevant role in promoting the health of these workers through health education, technical training, the development of operational protocols, and encouragement of immunization. Final Considerations: It is concluded that nurses have the potential to contribute to the promotion of biosafety and immunization among aesthetics professionals. However, the scarcity of studies specifically addressing this role highlights the need for further research to support professional practice and the development of occupational health strategies for this group. Specific objectives included identifying the main essential oils used in this context; describing the effects of aromatherapy on pain and anxiety reduction in women in labor; understanding how this practice acts to decrease pain and anxiety during labor, considering its physiological and emotional effects; and describing its application as a non-pharmacological method. This is an integrative literature review based on the analysis of national and international scientific publications. The search was conducted in recognized health databases such as the Virtual Health Library (BVS), Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO), PubMed, and the CAPES 4 Journal Portal—covering articles published between 2016 and 2026. After applying inclusion and exclusion criteria, 11 studies were selected for the final sample. The results were analyzed and discussed qualitatively using the categorical analysis method proposed by Bardin (1997), allowing for an in-depth understanding of aromatherapy's effects in the context of childbirth. The findings indicate that this practice has positive effects on reducing pain, stress, and anxiety, promoting relaxation and a sense of well-being in women in labor through mechanisms involving the olfactory and limbic systems. Lavender, chamomile, jasmine, and frankincense stand out as the most frequently used essential oils, applied via techniques such as inhalation, massage, topical application, and baths. It is concluded that aromatherapy is an effective, safe, and low-cost therapeutic practice, aligned with the principles of humanized childbirth care and Integrative and Complementary Health Practices.Bachelor Thesis Educação em saúde e cateterismo intermitente limpo na assistência de enfermagem à criança com bexiga neurogênica: relato de experiência.(Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, 2026-06-26) Leandro, Larissa Alves Silva; Kluczynik, Caroline Evelin Nascimento.; Dantas, Dândara Nayara Azevêdo; 0000-0002-4759-9458; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5337191302271178; 0000-0002-1790-1230; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9110613032951067; 0009-0000-1017-1573; https://lattes.cnpq.br/2967442228657763; Kluczynik, Caroline Evelin Nascimento.; 0000-0002-1790-1230; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9110613032951067; Dantas, Dândara Nayara Azevêdo; 0000-0002-4759-9458; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5337191302271178; Araújo, Juliana Lima de; 0000-0001-8829-6093; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1728815843109973Neurogenic bladder is a condition that impairs the functioning of the lower urinary tract and can lead to urinary and renal complications, requiring ongoing monitoring and educational interventions. The objective was to describe the experience of a nursing student in conducting health education activities related to Clean Intermittent Catheterization (CIC) for children with neurogenic bladder and their caregivers at a Specialized Rehabilitation Center. Conclusion: The nursing diagnosis “Risk for Shock” was validated in terms of content, presenting refined definitions and indicators for clinical practice, thereby contributing to diagnostic accuracy and patient safety.Bachelor Thesis A inteligência artificial no ensino de urgência e emergência para enfermagem: revisão de escopo(Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, 2026-05-04) Almeida, Maria Fernanda Rodrigues de; Ribeiro, Kátia Regina Barros; 0000-0002-3513-7483; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4422189971983553; https://orcid.org/0009-0004-8569-591X; https://lattes.cnpq.br/1999915062814989; Dantas, Daniele Vieira; 0000-0003-0307-2424; Nascimento, Maria Eduarda Silva do; 0000-0001-5578-5413This study aimed to characterize the applications of artificial intelligence in the education of nursing students in urgent and emergency care contexts. This is a scoping review conducted according to the Joanna Briggs Institute recommendations and reported in accordance with the PRISMA-ScR checklist. The guiding question was structured using the PCC strategy, considering nursing students as the population, artificial intelligence as the concept, and emergency nursing as the context. A total of 18 studies published between 2021 and 2025 were included. The findings were organized using the PAGER framework, which allowed the identification of four main patterns: artificial intelligence-mediated clinical simulation; support for clinical reasoning and decision-making; the use of AI as a pedagogical and educational design resource; and formative, ethical, structural, and humanistic challenges. The results indicate that these technologies have been used through clinical simulations, chatbots, virtual patients, generative tools, educational scenario development, and learning personalization strategies. In urgent and emergency care education, applications aimed at the safe training of critical situations, clinical communication, patient safety, management of acute events, and support for clinical judgment stood out. However, the analyzed literature remains recent, heterogeneous, and limited by exploratory studies, small samples, and a shortage of research specifically focused on urgent and emergency care. In addition, challenges related to response reliability, algorithmic bias, data privacy, infrastructure, faculty training, technological dependence, and preservation of the humanistic dimension of care were identified. It is concluded that artificial intelligence has the potential to qualify nursing education in critical care contexts, provided that it is incorporated as a complementary resource, with pedagogical planning, faculty supervision, validation of generated content, and attention to the ethical, institutional, and formative implications of its use.Bachelor Thesis Atuação do Enfermeiro na promoção do desenvolvimento infantil e na prevenção da exposição precoce às telas em crianças de 0 a 2 anos(Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, 2026-06-22) Moura, Maria Clara Lima de; Kluczynik, Caroline Evelin Nascimento; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-1790-1230; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9110613032951067; Costa, Edilma de Oliveira; 0000-0003-4982-0061; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5367393249599693; Oliveira, Ana Beatriz Ferreira Vitorino de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4710213757979101The first years of life are essential for child development, as this is the period in which children acquire important motor, cognitive, social, and emotional skills. In this context, early exposure to screens has become a growing concern due to its potential impact on child development. This study aimed to describe the role of nurses in guiding families on strategies to promote child development and prevent early screen exposure in children aged 0 to 2 years.
