This study examines how celebrity branding constructs meanings within the social imaginary through strategic communication. Strategic communication plays a central role in ensuring the continuous connection between organizations and their stakeholders (Kunsch, 2002). The study is grounded in the concept of archetypes as discussed by Mark (2024) and Costa (2025). Media auditing was employed as a methodological approach, following Barichello and Scheid (2006), to assess the presence of corporations and individuals within the media environment (Bueno, 2005). Drawing on Jung’s analytical psychology, the research analyzes Angelina Jolie’s personal brand and maps the transition from an initial identity marked by public crises to a more mature positioning characterized by authority and nurturance. To achieve this, the study applies an original media analysis method focused on identifying discursive regularities. The findings reveal a turning point that operated as a filtering mechanism, channeling Jolie’s drives and redefining her media presence. This process resulted in the fusion of previously opposing positioning strategies, giving rise to an unprecedented identity configuration. The results validate the proposed model and contribute to the advancement of theoretical studies on personal branding within academia.

(Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, 2026-06-01) Silva, Mirllen Fernandes; Freire, Fernando Santos Luna; Costa, José Zilmar Alves da; Chacel, Marcela Costa da Cunha; Neves, Ronaldo Mendes
This article investigates how the sound environment used by the Nordestão brand contributes to the construction of brand identity in the supermarket retail sector. Grounded in the discussions of Kotler (2025) and Costa (2026) on sound branding and marketing communication, the study adopts a qualitative approach based on direct in-person observation conducted in four units of the chain in Rio Grande do Norte. The methodological procedures were developed based on the contributions of Martino (2018), Gil (2023), and Severino (2016), using field notes. The results indicated a predominance of popular Brazilian music and jingles, highlighting the use of sound as a branding strategy. It is concluded that the sound environment strengthens the brand experience and contributes to closer connections with consumers.

Deve-se falar de mongóis na Educação Básica?
(Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, 2026-07-03) Oliveira, Juan Carlos de Souza Lima e; Neves, Leandro César Santana; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-8829-313X; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1647296759249155; https://orcid.org/0009-0001-8206-3317; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9476079458474680
The absence of content on mongol expansion in history textbooks is a significant gap in Brazilian education. This research aims to analyze this deficiency, highlighting the importance in world history and the impacts of its omission in the school curriculum. An analysis will be presented, first, of the presence, permissibility and feasibility of correlations between the Mongols of Chinggis Khan and the Brazilian historical trajectory; then, the scenario of Asian studies and Brazilian nomadists; and, to conclude, to propose an explanation of why the Mongolian advance in Brazilian Basic Education is taught. To this end, the four aspects of comparison proposed by Jürgen Kocka will be used; the perspective of Eurípedes Simões de Paula on the study of contents distant from the Brazilian reality and the conceptualizations of "empire" proposed by Jane Richardson Burbank and Frederick Cooper.

(Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, 2026-04-06) Torres, Kyara Jamille Oliveira; Condorelli, Antonino
The use of artificial intelligence (AI) tools is already a reality in newsrooms around the world. Against this backdrop, this study aims to analyze the applications of AI by journalists at the Natal-based newspapers Tribuna do Norte, Novo Notícias and Agora RN, guided by the following question: How do professionals at these media outlets use AI in their daily work? The theoretical framework is based on the contributions of Cruz and Santaella (2024) and Canavilhas (2023) regarding the uses of this technology in the journalistic context and draws on the concepts of artificial intelligence (Russell; Norvig, 2013; Nicolelis, 2023), automated journalism (Carlson, 2015), and AI-assisted journalism (Fernandes, 2025). To collect the data, individual semi-structured interviews (Duarte, 2005) were conducted with three journalist-editors from each publication. The material was analyzed using the technique of thematic content analysis systematized by Bardin (2011). The results indicated that journalists use artificial intelligence largely to perform repetitive tasks in their daily workflows, particularly during the newsgathering and production stages. Furthermore, AI has provided greater agility and productivity, allowing professionals to cope with the time pressures characteristic of journalistic work and to fulfill a multimedia role. It is concluded that artificial intelligence has been employed as a tool to assist journalistic work, creating a hybrid relationship between humans and technology.

(Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, 2026-06-26) Soares, Pedro Joaquim Lucas; Marcela Costa da Cunha Chacel; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1252310737351015; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6404720378814828; Adriano Medeiros Costa; Jorge Luiz Silva
This study analyzes the aesthetics of fear in Tarcísio de Freitas’s digital campaign from May to October 2022. Drawing on Bardin’s (2011) theories on content analysis, the study examines 10 Instagram posts by the then-candidate for governor of São Paulo and explores the interplay between images, discourses, and frames in the construction of meanings surrounding threat and authority. The results indicate that the construction of the enemy, alarmist framing, signs of authority, and the promise of order are interlinked, transforming insecurity into a demand for control and repression. Given this, it is possible to infer that the campaign organized a political discourse in which the dramatization of risk supported the presentation of the candidate as an agent capable of restoring order

(Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, 2026-06-25) Dietrich, Carolina; Chacel, Marcela Costa da Cunha; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1252310737351015; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-8910-699X; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5373099675365444; Moreira, Marília Diógenes; https://orcid.org/0000-0001-8255-6720; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3987306680791889; Marinho, Flávia Emanuelly Lima Ribeiro; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8039828551004357
This study investigates how digital platforms participate in the reconfiguration of female subjectivity within a context of neoliberal economic precarization, in which intimacy is progressively transformed into a monetizable resource. To examine this dynamic, it analyzes the circulation of two phenomena that operate as boundary cases on TikTok: the tradwife movement (traditional wives) and adult content creators. Methodologically, the study adopts a qualitative and interpretative approach grounded in Materialist Discourse Analysis (Pêcheux, 1997; Orlandi, 2001), in dialogue with Digital Discourse Analysis (Paveau, 2021). The corpus consists of audiovisual content produced by Brazilian creators associated with these two discursive universes, analyzed through their verbal, visual, and technodiscursive dimensions. The findings indicate that, despite the apparent moral polarization between the two groups, they share a structural convergence based on the transformation of private life into an economic resource. The study concludes that digital platforms operate as technologies of governmentality that capture the body, time, and intimacy as assets for continuous monetization within the framework of the economy of intimacy (Illouz, 2007; Zelizer, 2005; 2011).

(Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, 2026-06-23) Teixeira, Diene Cristina da Cruz; Lima, Maria Antonia da Silva Lisboa de; PAVAN, Maria Angela; Silva Junior, Antonio Amaro da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4053873978998699; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2258546985285753; Jesus, Marcelo Pedroso Holanda de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5916914050666901; Cruz, Monique Carvalho; https://orcid.org/0000-0001-6246-3447; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8164346150823650
This technical report describes the creation and production process of the documentary O Peso das Chaves, an experimental audiovisual product that explores the experience of two female correctional officers in women's prison facilities in Greater Natal. Away from the cells and the weight of their uniforms, these professionals open the doors of their homes to reflect on the clash between the rigidity of the State and the vulnerability of the female body within the prison system of Rio Grande do Norte. Relying on action research and participatory research methods—based on firsthand experience and interaction within the environment—as well as an ethnographic approach featuring in-depth conversations and audiovisual records, the report details the creative, technical, and organizational stages of pre-production, production, and post-production that made the work possible. Finally, the project aims to raise awareness among society and authorities, fostering discussions to inspire improvements in the living conditions and psychological well-being of both women deprived of liberty and the professionals working in this space.

The Brazilian pharmaceutical retail sector has shown continuous growth in recent years, driven by increasing demand for medicines and healthcare services, making it an attractive field for investment. In this context, the present study aimed to develop a business project for transforming a residential property into a drugstore located in the Lagoa Azul neighborhood, in the North Zone of Natal, Rio Grande do Norte, Brazil, addressing market, regulatory, structural, and financial aspects. The methodology was characterized as applied, quantitative, and descriptive research, developed through bibliographic, documentary, and market surveys. The study included an analysis of thepharmaceutical sector, the development of the basic engineering project and store layout, the estimation of implementation costs based on the National System of Construction Costs and Indexes Research (SINAPI), revenue projections, operating costs, initial inventory and working capital estimates, as well as cash flow projections and economic feasibility indicators. The total initial investment required for the project was estimated at R$ 187,051.48, including physical adaptations, legal regularization, initial inventory, and working capital. To assess economic feasibility, three revenue scenarios were considered: optimistic, realistic, and pessimistic. The indicators used were Net Present Value (NPV), Internal Rate of Return (IRR), and Discounted Payback Period, adopting a Minimum Attractive Rate of Return (MARR) of 15% per year. The results showed that the optimistic and realistic scenarios presented positive NPV, IRR above the adopted MARR, and recovery of the invested capital within the five-year analysis horizon, indicating the economic feasibility of the project. On the other hand, the pessimistic scenario presented unfavorable results, highlighting the project's sensitivity to revenue variations. It is concluded that the implementation of the drugstore presents potential financial returns and favorable conditions for its realization, provided that appropriate management and operational control practices are adopted

This study aims to understand the ramifications of gender-based violence in the corporate environment, specifically regarding the dynamics between the female worker and the employer following the implementation of paid leave, as provided for in Article 9, § 2, II, of the Maria da Penha Law. To achieve this objective, a qualitative methodology with a descriptive research design was adopted. Research techniques included a literature review covering the concepts of patriarchy, gender, the sexual division of labor, and legal protections for victims in the workplace. Additionally, a documentary search was conducted using the "Falcão" electronic system, identifying a decision by the Regional Labor Court of the 21st Region (TRT21) that served as the basis for a case study. The dispute analyzed involved discriminatory dismissal and the imposition of forced vacation time while the victim was in institutional care, highlighting how domestic violence erodes employment relationships. Furthermore, the analysis demonstrates the effectiveness of applying the guidelines from the National Council of Justice (CNJ) Protocol for Judging with a Gender Perspective in counteracting structural inequalities during legal proceedings. In conclusion, the study finds that formally guaranteed substantive rights do not, in themselves, prevent the persistence of discriminatory practices or the reproduction of patriarchal logic in the workplace. It concludes that the labor justice system must perform a reconstructive role through a conscious interpretive process, moving beyond traditional neutrality to realize substantive equality and, consequently, ensure safe and supportive work environments for women.
