Ciência e gênero: o cotidiano de mulheres pesquisadoras em Psicologia

Essa pesquisa volta-se para a relação entre ciência e gênero, com foco nos impactos das exigências de excelência científica no cotidiano das bolsistas PQ da Psicologia brasileira. Adotou-se uma abordagem multimétodo estabelecida em três etapas: análise de dados de domínio público; aplicação de um formulário eletrônico e realização de entrevistas semiestruturadas. Dessas etapas, resultaram cinco estudos, cujo achados demonstram que: a) na Psicologia, as mulheres ocupam proporcionalmente menos posições no topo da carreira; b) o perfil da bolsista PQ da área é de mulheres brancas, cis, de classe média, casadas, heterossexuais e do sudeste do país e os principais problemas que enfrentam relacionam-se ao cenário de disputa e concorrência interna que tem se acirrado no âmbito da C&T no país e à atual configuração do trabalho acadêmico marcada pela sobrecarga de atividades e funções, gerando sentimentos de satisfação e de desânimo; c) essas condições produzem impactos no cotidiano das pesquisadoras, que somadas às demandas domésticas, familiares e conjugais, exigem a invenção de múltiplas estratégias de conciliação; d) e, associam-se à ampliação da vulnerabilidade ao sofrimento psíquico e outros agravos à saúde; e) apesar disso, a adesão das bolsistas PQ da Psicologia à racionalidade individualizante hegemônica, embaraça a compreensão de que, no atual cenário neoliberal e pandêmico, suas posições sociais outrora privilegiadas pelo privilégio branco, deslocaram-se em direção ao devir negro do mundo, cuja nitidez se observa nas marcas do epistemicídio, antes experimentado somente pelas mulheres negras (e demais pessoas negras). Com isso, conclui-se que à medida que essas profissionais buscam atender as expectativas da racionalização neoliberal, deixam de perceber que na atualidade, elas também podem integrar o conjunto das(o) novas (o) renegadas(o).

This research focuses on the relationship between science and gender, focusing on the impacts of scientific excellence requirements on the daily lives of PQ scholarship holders in Brazilian Psychology. A multi-method approach established in three stages was adopted: analysis of public domain data; application of an electronic form and conducting semi-structured interviews. These steps resulted in five studies, whose findings show that: a) in Psychology, women occupy proportionally fewer positions at the top of the career; b) the profile of the PQ scholarship holder in the area is white, cis, middle class, married, heterosexual and from the Southeast of the country and the main problems they face are related to the scenario of internal dispute and competition that has been intensifying in the context of S&T in the country and the current configuration of academic work marked by the overload of activities and functions, generating feelings of satisfaction and discouragement; c) these conditions produce impacts on the researchers' daily lives, which, added to the domestic, family and marital demands, require the invention of multiple conciliation strategies; d) e, are associated with the expansion of vulnerability to psychological distress and other health problems; e) despite this, the adherence of PQ Psychology fellows to the hegemonic individualizing rationality, hinders the understanding that, in the current neoliberal and pandemic scenario, being a federal teacher and researcher PQ/CNPq does not necessarily guarantee a prominent place in society or the guarantee of privileges, since they are workers subjected to increasingly increased levels of exploitation and precariousness. However, the discomfort experienced since the outbreak of this reality has caused cracks in the conceptions that naturalize the disparities between men and women and between the different women. We conclude that the researchers face a tensioning of forces that reposition their subjective place towards the questioning of inequalities of gender, class and race in Psychology.
