Uma contribuição á analise da efetividade de investimentos em segurança de transito: um estudo de caso de Natal/RN

Abstract

This study aimed at to elucidate the concept of traffic accident, calling the attention and demonstrating, with theoretical recital, the relevance of the acidentalidade and the significance of the happened losses of the accidents for the society. The problematic one of the traffic accident in Brazil is structuralized on the basis of given national and local statisticians, analyzing the variable and sources with sights to present the beddings of the problem. A recent study of the Instituto de Pesquisa Economicas Aplicadas - IPEA is used to support the monetary quantifications of the losses of the society with traffic accidents, evaluation this that if serves, for comparison, to verify the efficiency and the effectiveness of the investments accomplished for the responsible agency for the management of the transit in the Rio Grande do Norte. Deepening this line of analysis, data of the states of the Paraíba and the Rio Grande do Sul had been used to determine the relative situation of the Great River of the North, in terms of acidentalidade, face of these two states. With these elements in hands, it was submitted a set of researchers, professionals of the sector and studious of public opinion a questionnaire whose purpose was to get the perception of the society with relation to the recent politics of investments in carried through security of transit in the state and Natal. One concluded that the recent inverting effort fully is justified by the perception of results gotten for the society.
